[Refurbished] eufy Homebase 3 S380 $159.20 Delivered @ Goodbuyz

200
RETURN20

Decent price considering the AI apparently isn't that good so I really wasn't prepared to pay full price.
12 Month warranty.

Doesn't come with a power supply so I suggest you add one unless you have an existing homebase you're upgrading https://goodbuyz.com.au/products/eufy-security-power-adapter…

Note: Not all eufy cameras are compatible, see https://support.eufy.com/s/article/Centralize-Your-Security-…

  • I ended up with two Homebase 2's, any idea if there's a way to utilise both in my network?

    • +1

      Yes, you can have 2.

    • Do you use two Home Base 2 units because you have more than 16 cameras?

  • I reckon this is kinda expensive for a refurb without a power supply. A new one with warranty is only $295 from supercheap.

    • That's almost double? Seems like a pretty good price for a refurb.

    • +1

I agree, charging extra for power cable is ridiculous, but this comes with 12 months warranty and my original homebases are still going strong after years being on 24/7 so hopefully these are just as good.

    • What power cable does it take? Same as hb2?

      • The listing for the PSU says it suits HB1, 2 & 3 so ponder that

      • 12v, 2A (24w). DC jack 5.5mm X 2.1mm. it's the smaller pin for 5.5mm outer diameter

Bought one from these guys last year for about the same price, been working quite well with no issues to date.

    • Can the ai tell the difference between a dog and human? The inbuilt ai in my C210 always shows thumbnails of my dog's back legs as 'human'.

      • I have noticed in most cases it can pick up my dog quite easily when hes on his own for instance. But the front ones is hit and miss when people are walking their dog for example.
Main reason for my upgrade was the larger storage and also be able to sync up with some newer cameras. Couple of the new ones wouldnt work with the HB2.

  • Apparently not worth upgrading from HomeBase 2 and the AI function is gimmicky

    • Facial recognition is a handy feature to have. Plus some of the new cameras only work with the HB3.

Also with noting you can add a 2.5" SSD or HDD to the HB3 to expand the storage significantly. In this scenario I have an internal camera recording 24/7

    • Yes and no, i have the hb3 from the hb2. Ai could be better but i really dont have anything to compare to. Does give face recognition which is handy and the storage expansion is good option - i have 1tb in it

I just received my Homebase 3 + 4k Camera from Goodbuyz. It was immaculate, but one of the cameras had light scratches on the body. It works with my old 2C cameras.

  • Apparently the Ai in HB3 is crap. Might as well wait for HB4

  • bought one, and I am wondering if it comes with screws for the SSD? if not what sizes are they and where can I get them?
also any good deal for SSDs? 1 TB should be enough

    • +1

Why SSD? Shouldn't a cheap 2.5" HDD be sufficient?

      • whatever that works :)

      • I've wondered that but accessing footage on my cameras directly is slow and I'm wanting the homebase to be better.

        I haven't got a spinner to try and a used 256GB SSD is $20 so ¯_(ツ)_/¯

    • Comes with no screws

Is the HB3 compatible with Apple HomeKit now? It wasn't in the past but I heard a firmware was coming to make it compatible. If so I presume then that any camera that it's connected to automatically becomes compatible with HomeKit?
