ShopBack Gift Card Cashback Confirmation Delayed

I’m seeing ShopBack gift cards cashback confirmation being delayed since 4th January. My wife and I both have purchased gift cards as well as shopback giveaways on the same day, but I did in the morning and she did in the afternoon. My cashback has turned confirmed 2 days ago, but her cashback is still pending. Is there any delay in gift card cashback confirmation on ShopBack side? @gotyourback

      Yes, she tried to do that, but the support robot didn’t have an option to submit a ticket, it just told her that the expected confirmation date is “null” after asking for a lot of information. Probably she needs to wait till “null” to submit a ticket, and I doubt if the support robot actually submits a ticket for past due cashback.

      • No, you generally have to wait a week before you can report an issue with your cashback.

        Regardless, how long ago did you purchase your gift card. A week?
        Just atleast give it some time before you start panicking over this.

          10 days now, and all the cashback for gift cards purchased since 4th January are overdue, including but not limited to ShopBack giveaways. Other people also reported the same issue, some people even had issues that their bonus cashback didn’t track at all.

          It seems that there’s indeed some issue with ShopBack gift card system.

            I have received a very friendly and polite reply from a ShopBack Customer Experience Advocate in regards to this issue.

            The reply was within 24 hours.

            Cashback from vouchers and gift cards can take up to 14 days to be confirmed from the purchase date.

            I think it is to do with the amount of the Cashback to be confirmed.

            It used to be processed within 5 days without fail.

            But recently, I think ShopBack has changed the processing times of confirmation of Cashback depending on the amount.

            Small amounts like $0.11 to $3 from experience in the last 3 days got confirmed within 2 days.

            So there is nothing to worry about.

I think it’s more about the category instead of amount, with an example being smaller base cashbacks for the last Westpac gift cards promo are still pending, but larger bonus cashbacks turned confirmed a week ago. Either ShopBack has changed the gift card cashback confirmation timeframe, or there are some issues going on in their system. Their customer service also replied to my inquiry today, saying that they are aware of the issue and I will receive an email once the cashback is confirmed.

                Read this:

                “Please be informed that Cashback for voucher purchases will be confirmed within 14 days from the purchase date.

                If the Cashback is yet to be confirmed after the stated timeframe, please reach out to us so we can check.”

                I actually got a support rating email which I have not replied to yet because the problem has not yet been resolved.

                Email them using the previous email they sent.

                I will also do the same in 4 days time when my cashback is past 15 days and keep in touch here.

                I thought the first email was just an automated service but it is not.

                There is someone monitoring customer service.

                I received another email asking how well their customer service officer performed because I did not respond to the first email because the problem had not been solved.

                So I had to respond to the email to make sure the customer service officer gets a pad on the back.

              • @We: I have received my normal Cashback from the gift cards purchased on 8/1/25 on 20/1/25. 12 days later.

                I contacted customer service through their email:

                [email protected]

                on 16/1/25 in regards to the delay of the Cashback.

                I received a polite and informative reply on 17/1/25 from Customer Support.

                I contacted the Customer Service Monitor on 19/1/25 to answer the Monitor’s questions after receiving 2 emails from the Customer Service Monitor on 18/1/25 and 19/1/25.

                On 20/1/25, the same Shopback Customer Experience Advocate who answered my initial email on 16/1/25 emailed me to thank me for using ShopBack and to let me know what a pleasure it was to assist me.

                I did not have to email ShopBack a second time regarding the problem.

                I would say that I did indeed receive a very high level of customer service from ShopBack.

                And also being a ShopBack Plus customer has its merits as I did indeed receive priority customer service support.

  • Good to know I wasn't the only one.

    I bought a $7 Amazon gift card using my available cashback balance last week, got an email confirming the 14 cents cashback within 10 minutes, but no voucher code. It was pending for over 3 days. The chatbot on the app did my head in, and despite sending a ticket through the app, all I got was a generic "we're looking into it email", then silence for 2 days. No follow up. Nothing.

    I contacted Gotyourback on here and he sent a ticket to [email protected] on my behalf. It got sorted the next day, but other than Gotyourback replying, I still haven't received anything back from Shopback, other than an email that the order was processed.

    Normally gift cards come through almost instantly or up to 10-15 minutes later. I've never encountered this problem before, so I hope it was a one-time glitch.
