Hey everyone, have two 2 bed 2 bath units in the valley and planning to convert to Airbnb both.
Since then, in actual need of a suitable and trusted design company who can do a simple furniture design etc to look it professional and nice. Brisbane

Genuine answer: prime views of the city, fortitude Valley location. Apartment building use has been changed by the chinese developer to a short stay (plus residential). Used to be residential only. Council has approved. What a greedy council, right? Interest rates are high. so why not make more money with the short term? do I have to think about other people that it would have been my fault they cant afford anything? why council and government is not thinking like that?

also would it help with your answer that I also drive a Tesla? would it add more hate to the topic of property ownership etc?
Sorry i didnt say it clear but from property investor point of view, i thought its better to rent out our property to the normal tenant, long term, compare with airbnb guests, short term.

Nah mate, I own my place but travelled enough to spot a AirBNB wannabe hotel tycoon in the making.
I've mostly stopped using AirBNB due to the 'cleaning' fees and stupid rules owners have. Went back to main stream places, less hassle and cheaper!

Can't help with your question, but be aware that BCC charges much higher rates for Air BnB properties than for standard rentals. And this is likely why they were so happy to rezone the unit block.

It all depends on how upmarket you want to go but a lot of AirBnB places we stayed at have a fair bit of Ikea stuff.
My 2c is make sure you have storage and bench space in the bathroom. Also a decent sized shower.
Why airbnb not normal rental? Better income? But not stable, it think?
