Best 3DSXL bundle deal?

I'm just wondering what 3DSXL deals are the best out there in the market at the moment?

Thanks

  • Don't know what is going on with the 3DS XL at the moment. Prices are terrible compared to specials they have been previously.

I am just waiting to throw my money at one but refuse to spend more on one than what I would have in October.

But to answer your questions, the best bundle I have seen is the mario kart or the mario brothers pre installed version. Probably hard to get now though.

JBHIFI has the mario kart bundle listed as $269, still doesn't sound like a great deal to me.

    • +1

I'm in the same boat as you. As soon as a good price comes along I will buy immediately. It's just annoying that the deals for the XL are quite stale.

Also, I don't want pre installed software and a shitty Harry Potter game. I'd rather something like NSMB2 and the XL at a competitive price.

  • im trying to look for a good deal as well, but Dick Smith seems to be the cheapest at $230. Want it to be under $200 before i buy.

    • Yeah, I am happy with $200.00. I think it should be the RRP now and not even considered a deal at this price, but oh well :)

Seems EBgames have a few bundles now, still overpriced though.

I wonder if they are actually able to reduce these costs now, as they may all be over inflated.

  • JB have changed their Mario Kart/3D Mario deal to include Harry Potter years 4-7 ($19 value when comparing to its shelf price). not much but something. Still $269.

    • Good pick up.

Makes me want to punch JB in the peanuts though. Bundle good games only people! I don't want to take out a businesses garbage for them, its not even Thursday!

  • I'm eyeing one off as well… Best I have seen is the white with the preloaded mario cart or mario3d for 269 at JB/EBgames and 279 bundled with a cartridge at EB but not sure if the latter is still available

    • Target has the Mario Kart bundle for $249…

      • Do you have a link for this?

    • EBGames has the white 3DS w/ MK7 + Rayman Origins (3DS) for $268. It's actually not a bad deal considering MK7 costs at least $40 even from ebay, and you could sell Rayman Origins for $25-30 on ebay if you wanted to.

  • Add me to the list of people waiting… would like for kids birthday in April so have a bit of time.. but hoping for $180 or so by then.

  • At what price is do you think a "good" 3DS XL bundle should be?

I've seen a Ltd. Edition Mario Kart Bundle for $249 in Penshurst. But that's only $20 away from RRP.

  • I'm hunting for a 3DS XL as well. I think under $200 is a great price for the console only.

Mario Kart 7 retails for around $40 cheapest I've found (ebay as my source), so I think $248 isn't a bad price for the white 3DS XL with MK7 preloaded.

At my local BigW yesterday I saw they had that White 3DS XL w/ MK7 tagged for $248, gonna try to see if they honor that. Hopefully it isn't a mistake.

EB's current offer of the White 3DS XL w/ MK7 + Rayman Origins is $268, if you could be bothered I think you can sell Rayman Origins on ebay for $25-30, but maybe its best to save the trouble and just fork out for the $248 MK7 bundle.

  • Haha came here with the intent of asking the same thing,

I just want to play Pokemon X or Y…

I'm somewhat new with the 3DS… are there region differances to worry about when purchasing through amazon or international online retailer?

    • If you don't care about Club Nintendo (Aus doesn't really seem to get good stuff to redeem anyway) buy from VideoEzy or Blockbuster. Imports but compatible with us.

  • Yes there is unfortunately so if you want to buy games here it's all pal
But of course if you import often American games do tend to be cheaper on its own (but shipping can cost a bit)

  • There seems to be a bit of misinformation going on. The 3ds is not region free. If you buy a USA 3ds you can't use aus games on it. Like other game machines, we share our region with the UK, but UK prices are not generally cheaper.
