Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 $289 Delivered @ Telstra (Telstra ID Required)

120

Built for Google Al, the Tensor A1 chip runs 90 times faster than the speed of sound to power twice the Active Noise Cancellation and deliver premium sound.

Available in Hazel and Porcelain.

You do need a Telstra ID for this, Officeworks isn't price beating as the model number is annoyingly not on Telstra's site. (Had success with JB price matching Officeworks at $320 down to $310 though, YMMV)

I bought these when they first came out. My personal experience has been fantastic! Very comfortable, great sound quality and especially easy to use on a Google Pixel phone. Big recommend!\

    • Have you tried exercising/running/eating with these in? I bought the PBPv1 shortly before these came out, and if I do any of those activities they fall out of my ears

The wings look like they help with that

I workout lifting weights in them, and walk regularly. I get no wiggle or shaking, really good fit! However, I haven't done running/intense cardio in them.

I used Sony WF-1000XM4 before the GP Buds Pro 2 and similar quality in sound, but the Buds Pro 2 are much more lighter.

Thanks for the recommendation, bought them today (price match JB for $288), did a 7.5km run, didn't budge at all, so much better

I had the ones and same - drop out
Got these and yep that little wing def holds them in better
I don't jog but I walk on treadmill and work out - all good
Not an audiophile but to me this is the best sound I have ever experienced

  • i have a rather dumb question.
Will the offer ends at 12:01 am or 11:59pm?

    • 3 Jan 11:59 p.m. (presumably AEDT)

      • Should be marked as expired then.

        • @MS Paint genuine question, does it actually say on the web site? was curious because I have seen offers ends at 12:00:01 am instead of 11:59pm

          • @going nowhere: Genuine answer. Why does it matter? If you need it just buy it now and it won't be an issue.

      • thanks

  • For some reason people can't hear me on my pixel buds 2 clearly especially when I'm in bed? Anyone have this issue? I have a pixel phone, and have some negatives to say as i came from the galaxy buds.

The pixel buds are bulkier than the galaxy buds so not as comfortable to sleep with. Galaxy buds have a very good tracking app if you have the samsung galaxy, only a basic find my device on the pixel buds?

Pixel buds Pro 2 are completely different to Pro v1 - theyre a lot smaller. Haven't had any experience with Galaxy buds but on my Pixel 9 pro XL I can see where both my Pro 2 buds and the case are separately and play a sound to locate them. The Pro 2s have a speaker in the case, I don't think the Pro 1s do.

      • The PBP 1st gen definitely do not have a speaker in the case

    • Tbh i am not sure i may have the buds pro 1 as johngie has mentioned, if this is the case definitely consider the v2 if hesitant vs v1

  • No pricematch on store.google.com?

Email conversation with the google store reps:

"I sincerely apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused. After reviewing your request, I regret to inform you that, as per our policy, price matching can only be offered when there is a difference in price in our authorized retailers. And I would like to inform you that below mentioned are the authorized retailers in the Australia region.

      Bunnings
      Harvey Norman
      JB Hi-Fi
      Officeworks
      The Good Guys

Unfortunately, Telstra is not listed as one of our authorized retailers, so we are unable to offer a price match for the price difference with Telstra."

  • What's the audio delay like on these? I have the original Pixel Buds. I really like them, but the audio lag is really bad sometimes, especially when using on a PC and watching videos or gaming on something like the Switch

    • but the audio lag is really bad sometimes, especially when using on a PC and watching videos or gaming on something like the Switch

I've also been using the original Pixel Buds Pro and have never experienced such issues.

      • Have you tried using them on a Nintendo Switch?

On phone it's usually ok for watching videos because the app usually compensates for the delay, but for gaming that isn't an option, so there is a noticeable delay, which is why I still use wired headphones on Switch. Bluetooth will always have latency, but some are worse than others. I have some cheap SoundPeats with a game mode and the latency is night and day compare to the Pixel Buds Pro, but not as good as wired :)

Looks like it's still an issue on the Pixel Buds Pro 2

I'll wait until they make a model that uses better codecs

JB Hi-Fi offered $288.04 via the live chat for me yesterday. I must have been luckier with the rep I connected to.
