Recently posted a thread about looking for a vacuum. For some reason we landed on a vacuum backpack, particularly the PacVac Thrift. Has anyone used it and have particular reviews or thoughts on it? Feels like everyone says that it's got good performance, but I haven't heard anyone say it's lasted them a while like Mieles do.

Yeah I figured :/ I'm mostly trying to figure out the expected life on the PacVac, but because consumers don't buy it that much, there's not much comments on it at all.
I have a Pacvac Superpro 700 and a Miele C2. Used to use the Pacvac at work, the Miele at home.
Agree with the above commenter, you’re not going to find many people comparing the 2. From a reliability perspective, both have been good over the 7 years odd that I’ve owned them.
I wouldn’t want to use the Pacvac around the house, it’s a big bulky thing on your back and I’m a clumsy oaf - I’d be knocking things over all the time. Backpack vacuums are really designed for open plan areas (like an office) - not confined spaces like a home.
Thanks! We ended up getting the PacVac. I'm not the vacuum user, and my boyfriend is pretty confident he'll be fine manuevering through our apartment (admittedly, he's used to carrying big bulky backpacks) so time will tell I guess. 🤷🏻♀️
Nice! The Pacvac is super ergonomic, I’m sure once you got used to it, it would be fine :)
cross shopping a commercial cleaning vac with a consumer home unit like a Miele, you're unlikely to find many similar comparisons
