Sydney York Street - Was I in The Correct Lane

Hi all, sorry if this isn't allowed, going a bit crazy here. I was travelling on York St and drove into the left lane from Grosvenor Rd.

Now my query is, I cannot tell if i was in an illegal lane, to the left of a Bus Lane. There are 3 lanes, with the Bus Lane being in the middle. I dont think i saw other drivers in the lane, but it was rather quiet. I got on from 1 York St Sydney and left at King St, driving through the Left Lane the whole way.

It very well may be paranoia, but not sure if someone could clarify. There were no signs indicating anything other than a "Bus Zone" which indicates i cannot stop in the area, which i didn't only possibly at a set of lights prior to the area with many bus stops.

    seems simple, red lane is bus lane, other two you can drive in.

      That is and was my thought. I think its just a case of Driver's Anxiety or something

    You are fine if you were in the far right lane or in the far left lane. You cannot "drive" in the "bus lane". You can "cross over" the "bus lane" to get from one lane to another lane or to enter and exit the road you are on.

        Anyway, if you are too stressed, you can always read the relevant road rules on the matter…

        NSW Road Rule 154 deals who "who" can drive in a "bus lane"
        NSW Road Rule 158 deals with "exemptions" to rule 154.

        (Note; There is a difference between a "bus lane" and a "bus ONLY lane". You are not allowed to drive in a "bus ONLY lane" at any time if you are in a car.)

    I drive on that road all the time. Left and right lanes are ok. Dont stay too long on the middle, only ok if you are moving between lanes..
