You dont claim. You buy it ;)
Recently went through the process of buying a new washer (change from top load to front load for space saving and in case I wanted a dryer on top later).
Combing through reviews is an absolute nightmare, seems like more issues with front loaders than top loaders too.
Hopefully this one is good, our westinghouse fridge has been great.. and of course it's an Australian brand.Westinghouse is not Australian. It was an american brand originally, now it is owned by Swedish Electrolux.
Having said that they do make good stuff. They used to manufacture fridges and many appliances here in Aus. Now they only manufacture ovens locally. The rest are imported.
Damn, we bought our fridge in 2016 and it was definitely made here.
Same for our previous $400 Simpson top loader which isn't even a brand anymore.Yeah I am sad that Australian manufacturing is going away in some industries. Sometimes I feel like there is less to be proud about these days
The only Australian applicance you can buy these days is ovens
They also manufacture cooktops locally and some BBQs under beefeater.
Yeah the review scene for white goods blows. Impossible to tell if it's isolated incidents and or dumb reviewers with unrealistic expectations. I got extended warranty on our haier drier and called it a day. The f n p washer has been going strong.
"The machine only washed my clothes, it didnt dry and fold them. Crap product - 1 star"
"My cat keeps climbing in when I leave the door open. For this price it should have an anti-cat sensor! 1 star"
There are fewer complaints and fewer reviews of top loading washing machines because they sell less than front loading washers.
Do we still get cash back when we use the price beat button?
I paid $449 from E&S and they took away the old broken unit, installed the new one and took away the packaging within an agreed 2-hr window. Do recommend.
Sorry, but where is E&S? My LG is working fine but once doing quilts & covers before it spins dry the whole machine banging loud, force so big the whole machine moved, normal clothes are fine … dunno if I need a new one or not.
Probably too heavy….
Why not sell it for $100 on marketplace? Paying extra to have someone else take it away and sell it doesn't seem ideal.
They said it was broken.
Plenty getting sold for parts, depending on age and model it would be from $50 - $100.
@OzzyBrak: Sometimes dealing with marketplace muppets is worth actively paying money to avoid doing.
It's hard enough to give working stuff away without people begging for free delivery 50km away or other absurd nonsense.
@wetsandwich: You're not wrong. I just think it's interesting that we will stack gift cards for 3% off and try and match with something else and then just throw money away on used goods.
@OzzyBrak: Maybe that's how they afford to pay for convenience. Everyone's situation is different & evolving, of course.
I'm the fool holding on to everything… While effectively losing worth & money. Chasing a supposed gain, but just filling my garage & brain.
Sometimes "Just get it gone" is best.
@Ulysses31: Amen brother.
OzBargain has morphed me into a pennywise, pound foolish, eneloop-powered, false economied, hoarding machine…
pros:
cheap price but nice stylish looking
all cycles complete within the displayed time(unlike bosch).
drum clean cycle works really well.
decent wash quality.cons:
very loud (very) especially the spin cycle.
touch panel is quiet finicky which sometimes acts borderline crazy.
15 minutes cycle is useless.
drum capacity maybe 7.5kg but looks small and that reflects in the number of clothes done, so you would be using it pretty much each day.thanks
From my own research: reliability of the seals can also be problematic, but maybe this model is good in that regard.
I was looking at this price point and found most of the front loaders were plagued with negative reviews (compared to more favourable top loaders).
In the end, spent double the price of this one to get a Samsung WW90T504DAW that the only complaint was "it can be loud" (It really hasn't been for us).
Where are they made?
CHINA
Thailand
Inclusive free jar of honey?
It might includes "30 days in Thailand…"
Factory
So glad to see washers back to pre covid prices. I paid $380 for a 7.5kg haier that's serving me well in 2019
How much for the time machine?
No need. Washers are now at pre covid prices. Thats the point.
If it is still washing the clothes in 2019 it might have a faulty flux capacitor.
How to claim it??
