Was looking around for some kitchenware and found this - feels like a good deal at 69% off when usually it's 50% off at Myer.

I’d much prefer Staub. More respected and higher quality production. Would trust it more to last a lifetime than Chasseur, which appears to be more of a home brand masquerading as a high end brand
What is the evidence for this? All are French made and respected aren't they?
If you compare Staub and chasseur in store, you'll see that they are far apart in terms of quality. Staub is thicker gauge cast iron and the overall quality of the casting, machining and coatings is much better.
Any thing better than ALDI Kmart or IKEA one, technically all of them are cast iron and enamel coating.
69% off.

Love my Staub. Leaves everything else I have had (French and Chinese) in the gutter.
what about Le Creuset vs Staub?
I’m more of a LC man but only a pleb blames his tools.
I have a couple of LC pans but Staub is all I will buy in the future.
I have a Staub casserole and it is wonderful. Highly recommend this brand to anyone. Although I wouldn’t pay much attention to the RRP. Can’t imagine too many are being sold at that price.
I noticed Kensington also has Chasseur round ovens on a good sale - 26" for $278
