Recommendation for a Camera for Recording YouTube Videos with Blue Yeti?

I see a lot of videos have sharp image and crisp voice with a mic on boom setup. Is there an entry level camera that is easy to setup?

Does anyone make videos or stream on twitch?

I think you are going to have more trouble with finding a Blue Yeti, usually their fur is white or brown…

  • NGL, I had to look up "Blue Yeti" because I thought it was a brand of ice cooler (Eski) or a brand of large 240v portable power battery bank (turns out that was "Bluetti")

It's a microphone… that I had forever thought was a brand named "Blue", or is it "Blue" and "Yeti" is the model?

As for camera, you say "entry level" but do you mean in price, in features or in simplicity to use? Do you plan on using it on a selfie stick, are you just going to make one of those cringy vlog-casts at your PC/on a couch interviewing the local bogans or are you going to be moving around and visiting places? Are you planning on buying any lighting or just raw-dogging it? Does it need to be battery powered or can a USB version work for you?

So many questions than just "recommend me a camera"… My suggestion is get on some of your favourite content creators sites and check out what they are using. They will often let people know what setups they have and just pick the ones you like the look you are going for.

    • thank you, I just read the title and I dont think that was what was going through my mind at the time

I was just curious if anyone does streaming from their home with a boom mic and a dslr.

OP you're not providing enough detail. Your best bet is to find a Youtube video you like the look of, and find out what they used to film it.

If all you want is a crisp image, chances are your phone camera will be fine. I expect you want more than that, however, but you haven't told us what those requirements are.

Note that just as important as the camera is the lighting. With average ambient lighting your videos are going to look poor no matter what kind of camera you use.

The brand of microphone you use is irrelevant to your choice of camera.

it's within my budget, not bone shaped and not that it's going to improve my viewership or anything but I just want it. at around $35 it will be insta buy.
