Hoping you guys will be able to help me before I reach out to the devs.
(Got a bit P’d off and left a review before)

Got Plant ID app from this deal a while ago as did most of you.
Went through the signup process and accepted the free lifetime offer.

Now the app is requesting purchase for premium tier or you need to purchase “tokens(?)” to snap photos of plants.

Is it just me missing something or have they done a bait and switch on us?

    I just checked mine and under settings it says Premium Plan Lifetime, however I have only used it once or twice since it was posted as a deal.

      Odd. Mine just says Premium Member with no mention of Lifetime.

      It is one of those apps that I use once or twice a year when trying to figure out what’s growing in the gardens.
      Being born without a green thumb, I’d otherwise kill everything.

      I did find out there was flame lily in the front garden which was surprising as it hadn’t been there before and I, for sure, did not plant this poison.

    It happens with iOS apps as the fees and conditions for the app store are insane :/

    The Dev was probably sick of paying for his app to be used on that platform (and instead of withdraw completely, decided to charge) …

    Just switch to PlantNet or PictureThis instead or any one of the "Lens" apps (Google Lens or Microsoft Lens both have the ability) ;)

    This was the original deal for lifetime subscription with over 600 upvotes.
    Like you OP mine has disappeared.
    Lifetime seems to mean that of the average sewer rat
