Bought it Boxing Day. Used it on the weekend. Car is not as dirty from the rain over night in Melbourne. Still wasn’t beading as good as full wax but much faster to apply.

  • +1

Willing to admit it could be my application, in my experience while great don’t expect the level of beading from a true ceramic application.

I apply every 3 months, seems to make cleaning the car easier, definitely looks great though and seems to have prevented some of the plastic aging.

I find it better than wax on windows.

  • This or quick wax ?

    • +1

      Apple or orange or both

    • +1

This lasts longer in my use

  • might be a stupid question, but can I use this on stainless steel to protect my bbq? I saw a video of a guy once doing this, but could be that he was using something else

    • +1

I use it on my mountain bike which has some alloy parts. Works well

Just to note, Project Farm rated this the best "Spray on" ceramic and does a pretty extensive test:

  • can you apply it after washing it with bowderns own wash and wax ? o

    • +1

I read u best not to use wash and wax as it doesn’t let the spray bond properly.

    • +2

For best results, you need to get the car down to the clear coat. That’s what the ceramic coating is designed to bond to. Wax will need to be removed.

Before my first ceramic coating, I washed the car (with a plain wash, no wax), then cleaned it again with a detailing spray and microfibre cloth, then clayed the car, then did the ceramic coat. The results have been excellent.

There are mixed reports of how well this stuff works. But it’s been amazing in my experience. I think it all comes down to prep.

Once you have the first ceramic coat on there, future top-up coats will easily bond to it, so it just needs a good wash (no wax) before application.

  • I gave been using this regularly and it is amazing though expensive

  • +1

I got one 2 years ago and still have half a bottle left. Great stuff. You can apply a layer of liquid wax on top of it to make it shiner if you want to. It's shining enough for me though.

    • Any recommendations on which liquid wax to use?

      • +1

Pretty happy with Meguires, have used the NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 for a good few years, and now I am using the Ultimate Liquid Wax because the former is not often available for whatever reasons.

  • +2

I’m shocked sca sells these for close to $60.

  • I rate this as well, and good buying at this price especially for Prime members.

  • +1

Great wax, but it feels like it lasts max 4 or so months for me. After that time it's a quick drop off.

    • Do you bother claying your car? Can I just wash my car normally, dry, and then spray this on?

      • +1

Not I don’t clay. But I give it a very good wash, sometimes two if it’s super dirty. Let fully dry and then apply.

      • +1

I clayed mine before applying this, but mine sorely needed it.

    • +1

That's a great length of time, it is just a quick wax

  • +1

I have used this product and it's okay but not impressive.
I'd recommend the CMX product which lasts longer than this.

  • Must not buy. Still have one from 2 sales ago. Still getting through previous purchases

    • Lol, I bought this ~1.5 years ago from similar sales and haven’t used it yet :P

And the paint on my car looks showroom clean despite haven’t washed it for 6 months or so.

      5 stars, great product :D

      • You obviously park in a garage and never drive in rain or park under trees.

        • That’s just it, I park outside on my drive way but not under a tree :P

  • Personally 303 Graphene is my pick, get 6-8 months out of a double application.

  • +1

Have been applying double coat of this every 3-4 months. Makes the car easier to do a quick wash and maintains the shine. The water beading effect lasts for few weeks as well

  • +1

Seeing mixed reviews but I can only guess its application as my car was excellent at beading for about 15-18 months with its recommended double application with 24 hours in between. Just reapplied it and the beading is fully back. I do use some ceramic toppers (spray on spray off) on top of it about once a month as you should with any ceramic. At some point I will get the eq to do a full paint correction and do a real ceramic for multi-year protection but with how easy this is to use and the results I'm not in a huge hurry. Excellent product!!

After using carnauba wax for years, recently switched to this. Amazing results, much more durable, and heaps easier to keep the car clean!

  • works well for me

  • Tempted, but will resist. Still have a whole heap of this to go through, including 5L of Lazy Wax from Repco.

  • When it says glass surface, does it mean/include windshield or mirrors, or both?
I did ceramic coating but not sure if they did the front windshield..

    • It does create very good water beading on windows but can produce a haze if you aren’t meticulous with the buffing.

  • cheers ill give this ago on my e39 23 year old paint

  • Finding Bowden's Boss Gloss is a good accompaniment with these and all sort of polishes. 👍

    • Interesting.. I don't find that boss gloss does anything at all on top of this product.

This product is reviewed better than others in its category.

I use this for my shower glass - works well!

  • Good product. Just had a detailing during xmas and the result was phenomenal.

  • Anyone has experiences on using this spray on a ceramic coated car from the 'Professional Ceramic Coating workshop' ?

  • +1

Pack of 6 makes this $20.23, if you're fine hoarding more.

  • Has anyone used this on a glass shower door?

  • Out of stock.

I use this on my car, tiles, showers, sink etc

    • Just bought it. It says 2% claimed, ships from US.

  • good on toilet bowls? too many skiddies

  • Is there any point using this on 20 year old paint that's been damaged by too many automatic car washes that have rubbed through the clear coat in several patches?

I'm obviously not looking to get shiny paint but if it provides protection for the underlying paint and makes it easy to wash in future that would be good. The car is stored in the open.

    • Far better than nothing, if you don't intend to get it fixed up. Otherwise consult with someone before putting any ceramic on, it can be hard to get fully back off for touch ups.

    • I have used it on a 2011 CRV and it looks shinier than usual but it doesn't have as much damage as yours.

  • +1

I started using this a few months ago and I have to say, it works very well.

  • +1

When I had rental cars on car share, this stuff was my secret. Hardly ever needed to wash a car. Just a quick hose down every 3 months.

  • Anyone tried MIRCH DECON STRIP WASH to remove old wax/sealant?
