That’s true though, weird to see so many people negging you.

  • How long do you have after purchase before the sim expires?

    • 30 days else you lose the promotion

      • You are wrong here. There are no bonus data. So you can activate in 2026 or 2027 depending on the card.

        • Technically you are correct because there is no bonus inclusions that they can refuse if it’s not activated within time, but I was just going off the T&C’s. That said, do you have anecdotal experience of activating these after the 30 days?

@Anthonese: They are simply selling the card at a cheaper price. Their "computer system" will not know you purchased the card at a cheap price.

I just called CatchConnect. James from Catch told me since there are no bonus data, you can activate the card prior to the expiration date listed on packaging.

            • @Mydc5r: Some Sims do have an expiry date which you can no longer activate past the date. But should be much longer than 30 days.

@bcYield: Like I said, the date printed on the packaging

            @Anthonese: Terms and conditions

You must activate your chosen prepaid plan on catchconnect.com.au or on the Catch Connect App within 30 days of purchase or by the date advertised on the promotion (whichever is earlier). Additionally, you must activate your Catch Connect SIM card within 24 months of purchase, otherwise the SIM card will be cancelled and any credit associated with it will be forfeited. Not transferable or redeemable for cash. You must be aged at least 14 years to purchase a prepaid service with Catch Connect.

      • Using your logic, do you have any anecdotal experience and having problems activating the card after 30 days?

You sounded pretty sure based on your response.

2 years after the purchase. Specifically mentioned on the page.

      • It also says:

You must activate your chosen prepaid plan on catchconnect.com.au or on the Catch Connect App within 30 days of purchase or by the date advertised on the promotion (whichever is earlier).

        • I suspect that's a copy/pasta from other promos.

        • In this case as someone mentioned above, there's no extra bonus (data etc.) so you can ignore this restriction.

For anyone wondering, it is 20GB for the whole 90 days, not 20GB per month for 90 days

    Thanks OP!
Bought two for my family visiting later this month.
You can use the discounted Catch gift card for purchasing those SIM cards.
e.g. Buy $150 Prezzee Celebrate Smart swap card and get $10 extra (6.25% off).

    • Professional! I just did that

And then what do you do with the other $140? Spend on junk?

        • +1

I'm thinking $10 on socks at Best & Less and $120 on Ampol at the bottom of the petrol price cycle. I do agree that almost all the offerings are so bad despite the quantity of shops available - that is a reflection of Aus retail unfortunately.

  • Suspecting no esim?

  • I read horrible reviews about Catch Connect

You'll read horrible reviews about all telcos.

    • Been with them for several years and not had a problem

  • Great. bough with 8% off catch GC.

  • Can you port from Coles to this? Both Optus network?

  • Ended too early
