I am currently on an Aldimobile plan, where I have a few hundred GB of mobile data saved from rollover over the past few years. In the near future, I'm going to be without home internet for a while, and I'm planning on relying on my mobile data for a few weeks.
My plan was to just use the hotspot on my phone, but I wanted to check whether I had any method of getting access to the data on my Aldimobile plan on possibly a second Sim card? So that I would be able to use this Sim on a dedicated mobile router to have a proper wifi network when I come home, without having to manually enable and disable my phone hotspot, minimising heat generation and battery drain on my main phone, etc. etc.
I'm aware that Aldimobile have a dedicated family plan that has this functionality, but I don't know if switching will allow me to keep the data I've accumulated. Also I would prefer to stay on my current individual plan just since it's less of a hassle.
I did think about popping my main phone Sim in the router, than getting a separate temporary plan to forward my calls and messages to, but I don't know how feasible this is.
Would love to hear if anyone has any ideas or suggestions. Thanks.
No chance.
