    This looks pretty crap tbh

If you REALLY want to buy this, Aliexpress has it for $22.79 at the moment.

  • Temu? Sorry

Temu can be a decent platform, especially when they offer incredible deals on items you want. However, their "10 free items" promotion can be misleading, as you're likely to only receive one of the ten items for free.

On the other hand, their "2-4 items for free" campaign is more achievable, but it typically requires adding $40 worth of goods to your cart to qualify.

Be cautious and compare the prices of each item with Aliexpress' "Choice" offerings to ensure you're getting the best deal. It's also important to only purchase items you genuinely need, as Temu's marketing tactics can easily tempt you into buying unnecessary things.

By staying disciplined and verifying prices, you can make the most of Temu without overspending.

      • No matter what you order, it is of shhh quality and doesn't match description. No more temu for me. Thanks though

        Correct. 100% this.

Always an up to date location for reviews of the latest dashcams from the big players.

Uniden for reliability, i do own a botslab but only as a rear view camera and have had no dramas so far.

Pricey locally and Viofo seems to be the value pick for reliability and image quality.

          Lol thanks for the downvote?

Uniden are very reliable, and come with great warranties (that you can actually walk into and return it as opposed to online returns).
Pricing is subjective, no one here buys full price anyway, just wait for a sale.

Theres nothing wrong with viofo but theres also nothing wrong with uniden.

Edit: Ill also add, Uniden have won canstar blues dashcam of the year awards for reliability 2023

          https://www.canstarblue.com.au/vehicles/dash-cams/

          • @StingyShopper: Lol are they even using Starvis 2 sensors like Viofo, 70mai, Vantrue have been using for over a year now? Starvis 2 sensors are way better for night time licence plate readability and reflections, it's a night and day difference.

Sorry Canstar might be giving them awards but I'm after actual better video quality for the same price as local. You're right about the warranty but the chances of that happening are pretty low.

@adrianhughes1998: Yes mate, Uniden use Starvis sensors as standard, wouldnt even look at a dashy without one

              • @StingyShopper: Starvis 1 is different to Starvis 2 mate. It doesn't pick up licence plates with reflections that well, compared to Starvis 2 which nails it 95% of the time.

                Big difference.

I like the way the ad seems to think features which are pretty much standard on any quarter decent dashcam are special on this one.

The ad tells me it has pedestrian recognition! That's great to know after you've bowled them over …
