Vision Direct: Spend $100 in 1 Transaction, Get $30 Back @ Commbank Yello (Activation Required)

50

Great if you're already looking at purchasing some prescription glasses from vision direct. Most heath funds offer rebates.

If you're not looking to buy any glasses, you can purchase the 'reglazing option' for $110. This option requires you to send your existing glasses to vision direct (obviously don't do this). All orders that haven't shipped can be cancelled, so can cancel order for full refund once cashback is received. Free $30 for 5 minutes of effort

Thanks OP I ordered glasses last week but will order new prescription sunglasses now 👍

Been using them for years, didn't realise they did reglazing. Most frames I get are only around 100 dollars anyway so probably not worth it

PS- I use NIB and they have no problem with claims from vision direct.

  • saw that,
went and bought $500 glassess, have used them before,
and paid with AfterPay - lol - that hurts, lol

  • Didn’t get this. Didn’t get anything so far this weekend.

  • They are more expensive anyway

  • The quality of lens is crap - coating failed within a year. And they will make sure putting through as many hurdles as they can for you to make the warranty claim difficult.

Oh, and they will only post you the pre-cut replacement lens at the lowest tier possible while giving you only the standard refractive index one which is thinker than what you originally have.

Oh, local optometrist will charge at least $100 on cutting and fitting the replacement lens

    • Ive found the lens coating kind of crackle or go bad if you let them get too hot (sunglasses on dash if the car etc). I'm very carefully when cleaning and only wash lens with soap and water them blow dry so it's not from scratching but if they get too hot the whole coating crazes and it's all over ☹️
After that they are never properly clear again but can kind of be buffed and polished to work as spares. I still use my old pairs for swimming and it's good enough

I've also found going to the higher teir of lens helps, health fund pays up to $99 anyway

Should mention I'm pretty hard on frames, can't remember last time I got more than 2yrs daily use out of a pair of glasses
