Sounds like it's either from IKEA or from God of War. Was surprised to see anaconda as the store

Haha. It is the world's most popular backpack…

I have no doubt it is but yeah the name definitely sounded Nordic/swedish based off those two it was more tongue in cheek rather than discrediting the brand

I see these around all over the place, why are they so popular? Is it just branding or is there something that genuinely makes them better than other backpacks?

They are simple and sturdy. The material on ours seems quite hardwearing and it’s outlasted many other backpacks we’ve had. However, the shoulder straps have no padding so some people may dislike that.

      $5 in most Asian markets

    • Thanks for the link. Been after something at a decent price for a while. Hopefully there is something there that my wife likes.

These bags are great but I wouldn't use it as a day pack. They have almost no padding (despite the advertising) and the straps are narrow. There's also bad airflow. They are great for holding everything and festivals though as they're water repellent, hold a lot of crap and look cool.

    • i love how cool they look. that is the best part

    • There are addon padded straps you can buy however the price is ridiculous - $40

Did not consider ergo at all when it was designed. There is a foam padding insert at the back of the backpack I hope none of us threw it away.

They absolutely did… but is been around since the 70s, so it’s not exactly the latest in ergonomics.

I had one for school in the 80s in Sweden.
