Looks like a good price outright, sadly I don't think other retailers will price match with Telstra Store

Will cost significantly more than this outright.
Nope, not with coupon stacking
Sound pretty confident!
How much would s25 ultra be?
If you trade in you'll get it for less, but not outright, like I said.
@wombat81: Counting trade in value as $1. Look through ozb to understand what I am saying
@abs898: Sorry, couldn't find what are you saying. Could you be more specific? I'm thinking buying the S25 for my wife, and I'm really interested. Thank you!
@rikawa: What he's talking about is entering a dummy trade in for a phone that is worth $1. Doing this gets you the trade in bonus that is on offer for pre orders (usually a $500 discount on the Ultra). Obviously you don't actually have the phone to trade in, because you made it up, so you can't send it in. They charge you a non return fee but in the past they haven't revoked the trade in bonus.
Lots of people do it but it's obviously fairly questionable. I'd strongly recommend you read the T&Cs carefully before doing this as they do change each year and you need to be fully aware of what your obligations are.
At some point I believe Samsung/Asurion will choose this loop home some how.
@wombat81: Charging customer the trade in bonus will take a lot of effort for both parties. This means one of them have to hold the extra bonus ransom (just like the trade in value amount) and then charge the CX a few weeks later if they don't send in the device.
The integration between Asurion and Samsung is already very poor, the only data they exchange is at the time of order placing and completion. Highly unlikely this will be fixed in the near future.
@abs898: There's lots of ways they could do it. They could just move to a redemption model where you get the trade in bonus paid to you one the trade in is confirmed.
Either way I suspect there'll be a significant overhaul of the system at some point because none of it works well.
@wombat81: That involves setting up a refund/redemption which Samsung lacks. Their back-office team does everything manually. Everything they do is pretty much based on order status.
Oh well, when it happens it happens. Last half a decade has been great for consumers.
@abs898: Is there anything needed to prepare for the S25 deals - like joining some Samsung mailinglist or similar?
@wombat81: Wow! Didn't know about this. I won't do it. But thank you fir your time to explain me.
$845 at Catch with 256 GB.
that's the international model so not really a fair comparison
Curious, different specs?
I assume it might have to do with carrier bands
Look at the issues with grey imports during the 3G shut-off.
4g and 5g bands can be different. Can be issues with accessing features like VOWIFI. Can also be issues with warranty.
Is it? I couldn't tell, but I don't know about Samsung's.
The FE is supposed to be the affordable version 🤣
Mate, the Galaxy S series is Samsung's top-of-the-line. Its prices are similar to the latest iPhones. So yes, the FE is indeed the affordable version
Extremely not worth for an FE to be at $899 when the S25 is literally coming out in 4 weeks or so.
HOLD for s25
