Nice one OP. I have an older version (v5) of these and they’ve been a solid running/gym shoe

EDIT: Did the trusty ol’ “sort reviews from lowest to highest” and quite a few people mentioning quality and materials has dropped significantly from prior versions :(

I ran the Sydney marathon in Sonic 4 shoes. I was quite impressed. This is a great price, pretty much the same process I paid at the outlet but I was lucky that they had my sized in the only shoe left. I wish they still did BT

    • The only reason I clicked on this was because I thought it may have had bluetoith

      • They discontinued the Bluetooth connected shoes a few years ago. I’ve got one pair that I retired after 1000km and my sonic 4 are on 796km!

        • Do you only wear them for running? Or is the 1k km done walking around shops looking for bargains with gay abandon?

  • Can we use this for daily use apart from running?
Any reviews on this please .thanks in advance

    • Claims heel drop 5-8 mm, that's fine for daily wear IMO. Other factors notwithstanding.

    • I wear sonic 6 as daily shoes and they’re great! The white needs some regular cleaning.

How is everyone buying running shoes without trying them on?

    • +4

If you have bought a particular style (eg runners) from a particular brand before, the same size will likely be the best for you. May not feel great though if it’s not also the same model.

Worst case scenario buy a couple of sizes and then return (check store policy)

    • Welcome to the Internet e-commerce age. But my guess is that people that buy these type of entry/casual level shoes (altho they are marketed as running shoes) are not THAT into running at peak performance so fit is not that critical as long as size is ok. The people that buy this are more than likely looking for sneakers for casual wear, some light mixed sports, gym..maybe even trot around the park.

Those that are real runners would be looking at the pure running models of respective brands. UA just isn't very popular in the runners world…. relatively….in AU.

      • Also if you check reviews online UA are less breathable and don't last. So just not very attractive.

    • Under Armour aren't exactly well known for their running shoes, so probably casual runners or people who just want a daily shoe for work/errands.

      • I reckon UA are underrated. The female winner of the Boston marathon was wearing UA. I’ve been heaps happy with mine but I’m not a crazy serious runner. The only others I’ve tried were hokas and I found the arch to be too prominent for me. These fit perfectly

I bought all my running shoes including a pair of nike, adidas, Brooks, asics, saucony each last year online and I ran a half and a full marathon last year. Unless you're a pro, it doesn't have to be perfect fit and they'll work just fine. Just need to know your size and width.

Have two similar styles of this brand that both had their soles completely fall off after just over a month of walking.

Embarrassingly low quality that I’d never touch again.

Amusingly UA have been my go to shoe brand for multiple purposes (basketball, general running and daily activities). I find that they last the longest compared to Nike and Adidas anyway, I throw insoles in them which helps a heap. They eventually wear down on the inside either back or side of the ankle - hate when the material breaks snd the stuffing comes out.

I had a weight loss goal and was alternating my two pairs each day for 1-2 hour daily walks along the Toowong Brisbane River track and both pairs fell apart after a month.

An absolute and complete waste of money on this brand.

      • I have too it’s great that they’re not as popular so you can pick up these decent deals

    • Does shoes come with statutory warranty?

    • Plus one to this. Went to korea 2 weeks in the sole fell out leaving me with a hole at where the big toe is.

Ah yes. if you had the model prior to this one apparently the quality is heaps good the missus have the previous version of this

  • No stock in Vic!

Have the model before this one? and it has been a ripper of a shoe. Still looks new and has worn very well whilst the hoka I bought at the same time with similar km has not fared so well. Use them for gym, walking heaps and very light running (not a runner) and I am 2m tall and 115kg for reference. Very hard wearing in my opinion and better than asics I have recently stopped buying as they aren't what they used to be.

    • Must be the same ones as mine! With Bluetooth (lol)

      • Yes apparently with Bluetooth 😂

  • How are these for arch support? the last pair of UA hurts my arch just walking in them

Genuinely upset these are not Sonic the Hedgehog

went into the store to try it on and ordered a pair, I'm usually a US10.5 Adidas, but i ended up ordering a US11. The 10.5 was okay in length, but its fairly narrow, so half a size up was good for width and length.
In store, they didnt have the colour wave i wanted, but they were able to help me order a pair to my house free of postage. So worth trying your luck.
