Checked-in Travel Trolley Cover Recommendation

Hi Everyone,

Wishing you all a Happy New Year!

I need your recommendations for a checked-in luggage travel trolley cover. I will be traveling overseas in the next 2 weeks, and last time my hard case trolley was completely scratched during the flight journey.

I've checked options on Amazon, but I'm unsure about the reputation of the products.

I would appreciate any suggestions or recommendations.

Thank you!

          Has anyone checked this out?

  • Get it wrapped.
https://www.secure-travel.com.au/faq/ have 2 wrapping stations at the Sydney International Airport, 1 near check-in counter H and another near check-in counter D.

That would be a lot of throw away waste. You would need to get it newly wrapped everytime you got on a plane.

So a negative for pointing out how wasteful this practice is. WCON.

So much plastic! Maybe OP should get soft material bags instead of hard shell, as these don't show the same wear and tear.

A cheap home-made option coukd ve a pillow case orquilt cover and straps. Would look ridiculous, but no worse than 20 metres of plastic.

Can be sourced from Samsonite and July among others

Looks good. My only concern would be if the Velcro comes undone through baggage handling. I would maybe use one of the luggage straps from top to bottom. Just wondering if anyone has experience with these things could comment.

        • OK, Fair enough I suppose.

Whilst on something like this does anyone have a good option to haul luggage upstairs when travelling? So far we’ve been using travel packs because it makes climbing stairs easier but generally a wheeled suitcase would be easier apart from this. WCON.

Just let them get scratched? Nobody can resist the power of Sydney baggage handlers to damage your bags.

They are true artists of destruction… artists with an extreme grudge against other people's luggage, and they especially hate pristine designer bags in cheerful colours.

    They WILL find a way.

  • Thank you all.
