Hi OzBargain, I've been looking at smart rings and was thinking the Oura smart ring Gen 4.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm not sold on the membership thing with Oura tho.
Hi OzBargain, I've been looking at smart rings and was thinking the Oura smart ring Gen 4.

Is the subscription a requirement? Does it give you as much info as it describes on website?
Although the subscription isn’t technically a requirement, I’d recommend including it into your total purchase cost as the subscription allows for integrations (like Apple Health) as well as 24/7 heart monitoring which both are pretty essential features.
If you’re not up for the subscription you can look at Ringconn which has no subscription fees, although, most reviewers rate the Oura Ring as far better than competitors such as Ringconn.
I haven’t worn the ring for enough days yet to calibrate heart health, sleep health, etc. when I get the new ring with the different size I’ll let you know how it goes as by then I should have worn it enough days.
Before I forgot to mention, make sure you use a discount or referral code as well if you do go ahead with the purchase (the Gen4 is also on sale).
Thanks so much for the info. I want the heart monitoring mainly so that's fine. I'll get the subscription. Please keep me posted when you have a bit more details of how your week goes
@Overclocked91: Will do, they’re picking it up on Friday then they’ll dispatch the new size which I’ll probably receive by next week, hopefully then there will be enough data to see the apps full functionality.
Are you considering buying used? If so turn on your DMs please :)
Sorry just looking at new to replace the wedding ring
Just got one this week and am enjoying it, although sending it back for a size change. The subscription is $109.99 AUD per year and it’s rated as the best smart ring available.
