Crazy how Amazon change prices every minute, even if just 2 cents. Reasons unknown to me
It is probably stock level/sales and some weird algorithm, this is a xmas product and no longer xmas so it hasn't sold for any units for x hours, set some kind of discount for 20 units to generate interest in the product again.
The 20 units sold in 30 seconds at that price. Theoretically interest comes back and people keep buying, but the algorithm doesn't really know it wont again until December. So it will probably set another discount in future when sales dont come back until xmas stock runs out.
My random guess could be totally wrong and there is a monkey setting prices.
Edit: Actually never mind, it was matching Kmart, and Kmart sold out super fast so it ended super fast.
Try putting some random items in your amazon trolley, then "save them for later". You'll see clicking on the trolley at any moment that most of them change price pretty much every time you look.
