How to Use Flybuys Points to Buy A New Phone Online?

Hey all, I have a few tens of thousands of Flybuys points that I'd like to use towards purchasing a new phone, and I understand I can convert them to Flybuys Dollars, but those are only usable in-store (and annoyingly my local Officeworks doesn't have in-store stock of the phone I'm after, but I can get it online).

What are my options/avenues for converting the Flybuys into something spendable online? Specifically, Officeworks or JB Hi-Fi.

I can see that I can buy digital gift cards for OW and JB on the Flybuys website, but only $100 at a time (I have a few hundred $$ worth of points). Is that really the way to go here? And would I be able to use multiple digital gift cards on the OW/JB websites in one transaction?

The Flybuys T&Cs say you can't use Flybuys Dollars to buy gift cards, so I'm limited to whatever is available on the Flybuys site.

  FYI -

  For OW you can only use one OW gift card per online transaction but multiple in-store
  For JB you can use multiple JB gift cards per online transaction

  The only realistic way for you to achieve what you want to do is to convert your Flybuys points via the Flybuys Rewards Store into one of the digital TCN gift cards that are redeemable at JB Hi-Fi. @TALL1one is correct, as the OzBargain record for the highest number of JB Hi-Fi gift cards you can redeem in one online transaction is apparently 51.

  I would not bother with turning Flybuys points into Officeworks gift cards via the Flybuys Rewards Store, because:

  • The redemption limitation @TALL1one has already pointed out.

  • It looks like you can only order physical Officeworks gift cards, which means you would need to wait for a physical gift card to be mailed to you. I once claimed a physical Coles gift card from the Flybuys Rewards Store, but it disappeared in the mail and it was a major headache to get Flybuys to help me out, especially since the gift card was sent already activated and untracked…

  Also, in case you were wondering, some TCN gift cards can also be exchanged for digital The Good Guys gift cards, but you can only redeem a maximum of two The Good Guys gift cards in the same transaction on The Good Guys' website.

  I use Flybuys points towards groceries then bank my grocery money towards whatever I want to buy.
