Would need to see verified output readings.
The world of solar panels is a world of power output bullshit

    • +2

I believe random number generators are based on solar panel Actual Output / Claimed Output

    • +1

This is incorrectly specced. Listing advertised Open Circuit voltage as 22.2V, but when tested it was 44.4V. Luckily did not ruin my recent Yard Force power station limited 30V input.
Also, missing Mc4 to Anderson cable in package. Now dealing w their CS.

  • A couple of the reviews claim 100w to 130w output, and it's around the size of a real 200w panel…

    • +1

For what it's worth I have their similar but much smaller 60 W model which actually has peaked at 65 W.

Seen a review of these being ok too, most likely only get over 150 W rarely and not for long, like most brands.

    not bad,

    If you want something proven
Atempower is pretty good, here is a review i did on some..
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxhrraVFdsU&t=9s

    264 with a MPPT controller.
about 180 watts on a good day.

they regularly go down to 265, 280 on the site at the moment. (only 15 bux more, they also arrived the next day, only amazon has ever gotten to me that fast before)

    https://www.vicoffroad.com.au/products/atem-power-200w-flexi…

(the controllers are about 65 bux by themselves, so the panels work out to 200 which is pretty great)

    Kings 300w $249 and it’s 3 panels

    https://www.4wdsupacentre.com.au/300w-folding-solar-panel.ht…

Seems the price has also gone up on this other product.

    • yeah good deal as they have physical stores you can swap them at. 2 reviews mention 150W (website suggested they're faulty & bring them back) and another 250W.

As mentioned above by @King Tightarse the ratings are fairly meaningless as some just make up numbers and others the output is under optimal lab conditions mot actual real world results.

      • +3

I have had the Kings 250W for a few years, up to 18A at 12V consistantly, recently bought their 200w lightweight model and it’s very similar in terms of output but a lot easier to handle https://www.4wdsupacentre.com.au/solar-power/folding-solar-p… for $169

king prices change daily, PITA but waiting is good, the 200w has been $149 but the Aussie dollar has tanked so that may be gone now

Definately will not purchase any products from the Brand All Powers, their support is shocking and from the last ozbargain deal still now have not been sorted , still dealing …with them

    • Was that the beige R600 ebay deal. Mine was good with little use for a few months, then 4 months later after leaving

it charged to 100% returned and dead flat. Would not charge via 240 V nor 12 V or solar.

After many attempts, it finnaly started charging.

      • +1

        Yup thats the one

        • Charging Error code (not charging)? How long has your problem beign unresolved since contact?

          • +1

@ozhunter68: Damn you had me worried, haven't even tried mine since the day I got it and bought their solar panels.

Got a bit worried as the screen wasn't showing anything when plugging into AC charge just now. And was dead when I took it out (I recall it was fully charged when I last used it).

After initially not showing anything for a minute, LCD screen came up and is now charging 00% shown and 6 hrs for recharge time.

I was the one who told you it was restocked too when you were upset it went out OOS. Sorry about that.

@Lucille Bluth: Haha, you were not to know.

I really thought battery (or charging circuit/bms) was dead after 4-5 various charging attempts, and got onto Allpowers for return/warranty info. They wanted to see a video to show technician, and that is when I heard clicking noise when plugging power in, so after a minute or so screen came on like yours and started charging. Funny thing is I also had my R600 V1 fully charged and stored in same place, it went on fine with still 93% full, so must be a difference in parts and/or design. I wanted to return the beige one and pay the difference between a bigger model, but can't do that now.
Might try and sell it as I don't find the smaller power stations that useful for my use, one is definately enough as my new set up in van has 3 X 100 Ah lithium which is great connected to solar and DC/DC charger. Would like bigger power station for possible use of microwave/inverter cooking etc one day.

  • Just curious here… Are you guys using these while camping? And what can 200w actually run🤔 Cheers 🍻

    • +1

Generally yes and it’s more for charging a 12v battery or similar. Not actually running something off the panel.

I use mine to via my DCDC charger and charge my batteries in my car. It’s then go 240v inverter and 12v stuff on it. Powers mainly my fridge and a few other bits whilst stopped for a long period of time.

      • Ah I see, so is the 12v battery you mention, like a big car battery that can hold a lot of charge and run your other devices?

So you can also connect it direct to your camping fridge? That sounds handy, but what happens in the night, as far as keeping the fridge running, does that then have to run of a battery?

        Thanks for your reply👍

        • +1

A good example of one would be one of those portable power station like anker, bluetti, ecoflow, vtoman, allpowers etc….The solar panels can charge the power station while you have electronic/appliances hooked to the power station.

          • @kei: ah I see, thanks for the clarification 👍
