  • I have this - it's been great. Well made.

    • Is it slow though?

You supposedly can get a Limeta 2m 240W USB-C cable for free with this if you follow the 'Get 1 Benefit Item Free' link, although I can't get the promo to properly apply to my cart. Might be worth contacting Amazon support about?

    • +1

Try adding this item to your cart. I did a dummy order and when checking out, a promotional credit of $8.89 (the cost of the cable) was automatically applied

      • Weird, still not working for me after emptying my cart and adding the item directly from your link. Total is $64.67 at checkout with both the cable and charger in the cart. In any case, I'm not intending to buy — just thought it was a nice bonus worth pointing out. :)

  • Is this brand any good for chargers? I know Maha and Xtar are very good but have never heard of Limeta

    • +2

Its the same as ISDT which is better known.

But their consumer chargers dont seem to have the same reliability as their hobby chargers. I had thought of buying a limeta charger once but gave up after reading negative reviews.

If you are spending $50 plus then just buy a XTAR VX4 which will charge everything including the latest 1.5V lithium ion.

    • I have a Limeta R4 EVO (same brand but different model to the one in this post)

      • The readings don't seem accurate
      • The charger makes the most annoying high-pitched sound when charging
      • If you are charging, and the power goes out, the charger uses the batteries in the bay to create some sort of DJ scratching track. It's fine if you are there to reset it, but freaking annoying if you are in bed and have to get up to deal with it.

It could be that I have a dud, but I'm going back to XTAR. I paid $25 for an XTAR VC4 many years ago and it has been flawless (only [down]graded because the springs got a bit rough to push down after like 7 years of daily use and I couldn't be bothered buying electronics cleaner to clean it).

edit: Here's a short clip of what happens to the charger when the power goes out.

Again, different model to the one in the listing…but doesn't give me confidence in the brand.
