No, you're still paying for a sub-standard game.
Check the critic and user reviews. You couldn't pay me either, because I'd rather spend my free time on things I enjoy.
So the game is worth $149.95? Yeah, nah.
Hope Rocksteady learned a valuable lesson from this. Cranked out 3 amazing Batman games and then went to this pay to play looter shooter that EVERYONE told them they didn't want. And their response was arrogant replies like - yes you do!
I grabbed it on release to see if it was really as bad as people were saying. Refunded it within two hours on steam. It is a soulless looter shooter that could've been half decent if it had been a different game.
Is it worth playing for this price?
I mean if you have absolutely nothing else to play, 7 bucks for the story I guess isn't too bad. Ignoring everything else that is bad about the gam (live service model etc) the main let down for me was just the combat. You have these DC villains who all have their own abilities and signature moves, and at the crux of the gameplay its just you all shooting guns (with small little abilities tied into their character flavour there to use on the side).
Bear in mind if you just want the story and not the grind it's available as a 'cutscenes movie' on youtube
Hard to say if Rocksteady will get any better since WB Games has probably has a tighter control over them and they've been a terrible publisher for ages now.
Not helping is that the two leads of the developer have left a long while ago to form their new studio.
They're a bit of a mixed bag, but have put out some great games.
Fear 2/3, Lego Batman, Arkham Asylum, Bastion, Arkham City, Lollipop Chainsaw, Arkham Origins, Middle Earth Shadows of Mordor/War, Arkham Knight, Hitman 2, Hogwarts Legacy
And Mad Max. I'm playing through that currently and enjoying it a lot.
You count F3AR as a good game?
I haven't played much of Shadow of War but was quite put off that they had to insert microtransactions during it's launch year. Yes, I know they removed them afterwards but they shouldn't have been added in the first place (as well as patenting the nemesis system).
And yes, they have put out good games in the past but their business practices is really off-putting.

It's because they hired "consultants" like Sweet Baby Inc to inform them of how to make their games, rather than trusting their own game designers.
I thought their servers will go down early 2025? Unless you can continue to play offline why would you buy this?

They're planning on releasing a single-player patch.
n, its just support ending but servers will be up aswell as single player offline support

Bought it on PS5 for $5 during EB's Mad Monday sale and currently playing it and enjoying it even through it's obvious downfalls.
Worth it for Captain Boomerangs Aussie banter alone
"Kill the Justice League." what the i want to be the hero not the bad guy out to kill the heros i dont get why they thought that was a good idea but thats the only reason i was never really interested in this game
