  • Duracell also half price also i think.. which is better? and what is the best charger to charge in bulk for these?
    actually not onsale anymore maybe

    • +1

Neither are LSD like eneloops/Laddas. Energizer/Duracell will be flat every time you go to use them, and in my experience, they die pretty quickly.

      • thanks man.. i heard eneloops are cream of the crop

  • Still 1.2v fyi

    • Do 1.5v rechargeables even exist?

      • +1

There's some lithium rechargeable batteries that are 1.5v

        • Are they using the booster circuitry?

          • +3

@mecind: They step down to 1.5v from a higher 3.6v.

Great for stuff that requires 1.5v to work properly, but not for high draw applications.

In my case, my old camera requires the 2 x 1.5v for it to work. Anything lower triggers a low battery and it stops working.

          • @mecind: No booster circuitry, but the opposite. It's circuitry that regulates the voltage down to 1.5v.

This or Ikea 2450 Ladda (when in stock) $12 for 4 pack ?

    • +5

      Ladda's would be my choice.

    • +2

Ladda. See my reasons below. TL;DR: These Energiser rechargeables leak.

Only reason I would buy these if I was in rural Australia and not near an IKEA. Then I’d still wait for an Eneloop sale.

      • Thanks for this comment. I cancelled my order

Same price at Bunnings for those without Prime or a $59 order

  • +1

Are these still made in Japan?

  • How do these compare to the Eneloop Pros?

    • -1

      These are rubbish

  • Can we charge this with the envelope charger.

    • Yes. The eneloop charger will be able to charge any NiMH rechargeable batteries regardless of brand.

  • +2

Avoid. I’ve had some, and somehow, even while still with charge, they leaked. Now have a few remotes with rusted contacts (vinegar fixed all but one). I’ve not had any other NiMH batteries leak besides old Aldi rechargeables (not bought any since). And I’ve had cheap Aliexpress NiMHs and old HobbyKing NiMHs (not great, but didn’t leak).

Buy Laddas 1900 (white-label Eneloops) or if you want more power, but less life, the 2450 version (Eneloop Pros). Or buy Eneloops if you don’t want the IKEA branding.
