Nulon Pro-Strength Diesel Fuel System Extreme Clean 500ml $19.99 (Normally $34.99) + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ Autobarn

130

Normally $34.99.

I drive a 2010 Ford Mondeo diesel. It's old and economy is not as good as it once was. I've read reviews which some suggest this is a great product.

Worth a try if you drive a diesel car.

I have used this before and liked it

Could be purely a placebo, but in my own mind it made a difference

It’s not a placebo. Google “Polyether amine” (PEA), which is a chemical known to both reliably break down carbon deposits and survive the combustion process, allowing it to also clean turbos, DPF’s and exhaust components too.

PEA is the main chemical in this product.

      • Are you sure it has Polyetheramine in it? I can't see it in the SDS.

        • +1

Ah, it’s in the petrol one. I’m sure the diesel one as a similar chemical.

      • PEA is in the petrol one. This one is the ol' hydrocarbons in diesel to help it flow better trick.

Works, but adding ANY small dose of hydrocarbon to diesel does the trick.

Thinning diesel slightly is very old knowledge.
Adding 100ml of e85 to a full tank of diesel does the trick, still works in the common rail age.

The 'official' hydrocarbon is usually 'white spirit' in almost all diesel conditioner MSDS you find, (over here, called Shellite); but e85 is cheaper.

        • I expect the diesel cleaner also contains alcohol to remove water from the fuel system.

  • Does anyone have experiences with using this on 2015-2020 2.0L 4 cylinder VE group diesels? I’ve got a Passat diesel that I’m eyeing this off on.

Replace the fuel filter instead. It is a krok fluid.

Thanks. Bought the petrol version which is the same price.

  • Audi diesel? 2014 model?

    • Yep I used this on my old Tiguan diesel and thought it made a difference.

  • I used it twice on mine and both times made my diesel Sorento splutter and loss of power triggering limp mode and triggered a p0404.

    • Did you only use half a can?
Its unlikely your Sorento holds the 100L this treats.

  • Is fuel doctor or f10 better?

This or Liqui moly fuel system cleaner?

    • I have used both on my audi q3 petrol, and i prefer liqui moly as the preformance and acceleration last longer

  • Yep….that one

  • +1

I use this, has improved fuel efficiency and quietened my injectors.

    • 250ml treats 2000L of diesel

Wow, the probably more suited to a truck than a car.

      • I have a territory with lion 2.7ltr 6 cyl used by tezza, disco3&4, jags, and a few others around the 2010 era.

    • What's the active ingredient in this one? I couldn't find any info. Alot of waffle, and not the actual info that's most important.

      • Its in the msds

        Distillates hydrotreated heavy paraffinic; Baseoil - unspecified 64742-54-7 >90% hydrocarbons, C10, aromatics, >1% naphthalene 64742-94-5 <5% Naphthalene 91-20-3 <1% C8-18-alkyl phosphates, 2-ethylhexylamine salts 83899-28-9 <1%

        • Thank you, much appreciated. I did have poke around, but couldn't find anything. Thanks! It's all jibber jabber to me anyway. I take it the cleaning agent is mainly hydrocarbons?

  • Petrol variant also on sale:

  • Just realised Liqui moly does not contain PEA

    • Have to get liquid moly jectron (petrol) if you're after pea in a liquid moly product

      • Can you use that on a diesel?

        • I wouldn't unless it says you can use on diesel product. I think it's petrol only.

      • Thank you, I'll just buy this in petrol version least it's on sale

        • No worries. Just make sure you use it on a petrol car

  • Does the petrol variant need to be added on almost empty tank?

    • +1

It treats 60L of fuel. So you would normally fill up and tip in the entire bottle (assuming your tank is between 60L and 70L). Then run your car normally until your vehicle is empty.
