Kogan Internet disconnection

My bill is due on the 31st December. I called them to disconnect before the charges due to an increase of $10 after the 6 months period.

The girl on the phone told me my billing period is on the 25th and not on the 31st as stated in the email.

I was hoping to disconnect before the increases but now I gotta stay for another month and paying $68 for a 50/20 connection.

Has it always been like this?

It's just Ruslan having a bit of fun and you are the chosen one.

    • So are they part of the TPG group now? Since they are doing exactly the same as TPG with the 1 month notice with no refund policy and the bullshit billing and payment period?

        TPG No
        Optus Yes
        Aussie Broadband Yes

      • Same policy doesn't mean same company. Budget providers generally are going to have less friendly policies.

As the old saying goes - You pay peanuts, you get monkeys.

        • Right, A $68 a month for a 50/20 connection to you means Kogan is a Budget provider hey?

  • what was your connection date?
not sure why you're using due date of the bill

    • I have no idea what my connection date was. On the bills it only shows the due date. How is one supposed to remember when you connected?

      • Find the bill from your old provider? Emails from either provider?

        • Yeah they email the bills to my nominated email address. I don't use postal billing anyone. It's a waste of paper.
