    There's hundreds of models and depending on what you are after. No one can answer this for you.

    If you are a beginner. Choose you favorite brand (each has pretty much competing models for all situations). And decide your budget. Look for 'daily trainer' and you are set.

    I learn the range quickly be watching the YouTube videos for 'Adidas (replace with whatever your brand of choice is) lineup' videos.

  I think there might also be price jacking going on. There is particular type of running sock I try to buy when there is sale so went to buy a few during the sale and it looks like what I normally pay for them once the discount applied. I will monitor to see if the regular price goes down after the “sale” finishes.
