  • I see $169

    • sorry. i got carried away with my cut and paste of the previous post.

  • Was on sale last year for $99, damn inflation.

    • that would have been more tempting.

Yesh if $99 I'd grab one straight away. I just had new turf put down this year so don't need to scarify for another year so probably won't bother storing it for a year vs buying the ozito one when I need it for $100 more, which comes with a 5 year warranty vs 1 for this one. This comes with batteries though so would suit someone who isn't already setup with batteries, which is probably a small number if they're into their lawn enough to buy a scarifier.

  • Ive got the draper 240v. Its a ripper. Not sure battery is the way to go for something you may use twice a year.

    • Hey mate, how do you find it? I agree with your logic so I haven't bought one yet.

      • I have the draper too and its a weapon. Multiple heights, two attachments dependant on how hard you want to scarify, and no flat batteries to worry about

        • That's a pity they don't do any discount for it :((( I was waiting for it for a few months

@kanu666: Also I don't get why on the whole AU market there is literally a single corded model? Usually corded is cheaper than cordless. So I'd really like to see the corded Ryobi one for the portion of the price

        • Ok that's good, thanks mate. Looks like I'm buying a scarifier!

    • +1

Cheers mate. It was that or the ryobi. A Battery unit just seemed like it would be underpowered for the task. The draper also got great reviews and comes with 2 blades. A groomed and scarifying blade. Kicking a lead out of the way once or twice a year didnt seem like too much of a chore. Last year I hired a big heavy commercial unit. The draper dis 90% what the commercial unit did. 2.5 less hires and the draper pays for itself. Ripped through a super spongy kikuyu lawn with ease. The 8 zulu bins of dead grass was the biggest part of the job. 2 weeks later and the lawn had never looked better.

    • The draper looks like its more expensive though?
For something that I only use once a year, I'm prepared to go for the cheapest option. My yard is small enough that I can do the whole yard on a single charge. The battery unit is definitely powerful enough for my needs.
The extra attachments on the draper offer more options than this however.

    • not sure why so many people would downvote without answering.
This is not a mower, its a scarifier. But the kit does include the batteries and the scarifer.

Seems relatively cheap given it comes with big batteries

    • I have this, it works very well, but does feel a bit cheap.
