A nice competitor to the Aula F87 Pro, with lots of reviews, easy returns with Amazon and quite a bit cheaper. A good introduction for most looking for a good value mechanical keyboard.

  • Can this one be completely dismantled and modded?

    • +1

yes, the switches are hot swappable.

Yeah I just realised that pcb and other components can also be modded and removed

  • Yeah I would rip all those switches out get pbt caps, do a tap more on the pcb, and try to put some foam on the bottom. Replace the stabilisers too

  • I just got the Aula F87 Pro recently. Not a bad keyboard at all. A little concerned about the battery inside after seeing a keyboard throw sparks on Reddit but I'll try to make sure I don't keep in plugged in and I'll charge it slowly, only while I'm around.

    • Do you know if there are shone through caps available for it? What's the latency like between the three connection types?

      • +1

Was just thinking about shine through keycaps. I don't know much about the keyboard to be honest but I would like to get some for it. While I can touch type to a certain degree, if I lose my place and it's really dark (most of the time I use my PC it's pretty dark in my room) I can struggle to find a single key when needed.

I haven't really typed a lot on the keyboard so I can't really speak to the latency as it's one of a few backups I have. I actually have 3 keyboards sitting on my desk. I really only bought the Aula as the price was really good. Also, this is my first customisable mechanical keyboard.

  • No 100% version? :/ Yeah, I am that kind of weird.

  • The amount of out of box thock/$ these newer Chinese keyboards offer is pretty insane. I watched a bunch of Chinese reviews before I bought an AJAZZ AK35i V3 MAX from Aliexpress, been using it for half a year now and haven't been disappointed.

I really wanted to stay with Logitech after years of using their keyboards but they have simply not innovated. And the rest of the gamer hardware was also lacking when it comes to thock or customizability.
