        Bin there…. Done that….

        • Why was the bin always invited to parties?

Because it knew how to handle rubbish.

This brand is junk. I had one and the lid snapped off the hinge when the lid closed on my hand

  • Runs on AA batteries, will be changing batteries at least monthly. Needs to run on 4xDs.

I have a different bin hat has a kick sensor. Been running the same pair of AA for the last 3 years.

      • a kick sensor?

      • That’s impressive. Can you share brand/model?

    • Nah the hinge on most of these bins is counterbalanced or highly geared. Batteries last about 3-6 months. I ended up splurging for a Simple Human bin.

      • So your experience is with simple human? From my limited bin industry knowledge they are a premium brand, not really fair to compare with a no name brand is it? My experience is with one from Kmart way back ($40) that was great until kids dented it badly, D batteries changing every 6 months or so. Then one from amazon ($100 brand was ninestars?) on D batteries, changed batteries twice in 5 years. Bought the Aldi one this year ($80) had to change the AA batteries every 3 weeks. Absolute trash.

  • We have a similar foot lever bin we use for recycling. My cat likes to jump up and sit on it. I think she would break a sensor bin.
