    Those savings don’t look great…

Our sheets are on par with the top contenders in the market. Based on the quality, I do believe the price point is quite a bargain!

Which companies do you benchmark against when you say your "sheets are on par with the top contenders in the market"? What criteria do you use to make that assessment?

I'm not being a smartarse - I have a bit of a manchester problem and am constantly buying new sheets and doona covers, so I'm always on the look out for a good buy.

      Your question is absolutely valid.

I obviously don’t want to mention any company names. We focus on quality and manage to keep our price point low because we don’t spend that much on marketing gimmicks. It’s why with the bigger brands you end up paying at least twice as much for the same quality. We also use the not same if not better long staple premium cotton. That’s the key thing to look for when purchasing cotton sheets. Long staple cotton is the key indicator of durability, softness and overall quality.

They look very generic as far as quality goes. Absolutely no mention of TC which isn't reassuring quality wise.
I'll give you credit though that you use Cotton instead of Polyester

Definitely going to pass on this one. Good luck OP!

    • I actually wrote a blog post on thread count which I’ll link below. Our sheets are between 300-400 tc. While tc is important, the quality of the cotton itself makes a bigger difference.

And you are right, at least we aren’t selling ‘cotton-rich’ or ‘cotton blend’ sheets at a ridiculous price point.

      https://thickandthin.com.au/whats-the-best-thread-count-for-…

      • Why not add the TC on the listing descriptions? Seems odd considering TC is an important purchasing factor for some, and most won't deep dive on your website to try and find the answer (or at all!)…

        • That is a good point but we are finding that in the bedding market, many are debunking the theory that high thread count equals good. For most cotton sheets, a tc between 300 and 400 hits the perfect balance of luxury, breathability, and durability. We deliberately don't focus on on tc as we focus other aspects of our bedding, such as the ethical sourcing of our cotton and ensuring our cotton is of high quality.

  • Any recommend budget options?

  • I regret buying these last time around. Trash but for the price.. meh.

    • I’m sorry to hear! Are you sure it was from us? I can see you’re interacted on other bedding posts and we are a new company that only started 3 months ago.

If it is us, please let me know, we have a customer satisfaction policy and are happy to return or refund.

Very interested to know if your previous purchase was actually from these guys, or someone else.

      • I’m also really keen to know! We’ve quality checked our sheets and compared them to others in the market for 6-12 months prior to going live. I look forward to seeing what the issue was for tencap.

        • Ozri group? Yes it was.

          • -1

@tencap: Apart from our ABN number- thick and thin has no reference to Ozri group so that does not prove anything. Please send us an email at [email protected] with proof of purchase, and we are happy to process a refund based on your dissatisfaction. I will be waiting for your email.

    Country of origin?

    • -1

The company's origin or the sheets origin?

      • +1

Where are the sheets manufactured. Your attempt at obfuscation in every reply is not doing you any favours.

        • Apologies for the misunderstanding. We are a Sydney based company and currently source our sheets from Pakistan

        • Not that hard to find on the website, though: "Our products are thoughtfully designed in Sydney and expertly manufactured in Pakistan". Could have answered your own question in about 20 seconds.

          https://thickandthin.com.au/faqs/

          • @Fredorishi: But I chose not to. Part of being a rep is customer engagement. It's a litmus test how they interact with OzB users.

            • @Ham Dragon: Well there you go. Here i was thinking the "litmus test" in here was whether something was a bargain or not. Good to know that reps are expected to respond to every stupid question. Bit ironic you accused them of obfuscation honestly. Lol.

              • @Fredorishi: Not sure what planet you're on champ if you think asking a basic question about the product is a "stupid question" or an unreasonable request to the person selling it. The most obvious answer is PRC but it turns out it's Pakistan (nice to know). Anyway, nice insight into the character of someone who gets offended on behalf of literal who merchants. Ta for the chit chat.

                • @Ham Dragon: Im not offended. I actually find it kind of amusing how seriously some people take a bargain website. And how aggro they get.

"Country of origin?" - the cotton? The company? Ohhh, you meant "where are they made? "

Nothing wrong with my character. Maybe you could have a think about what you're putting out. It might help explain what you're getting back. Just a suggestion.

                  • @Fredorishi: How aggro? I asked where is the product made. Even then the rep needed clarification, for whatever reason. Any reasonable person equates "country of origin" to place of manufacture. Yes I probably could have delved into the website to find that information but that's not my prerogative (see above). I don't need suggestions because I'm not the person whining about someone asking a genuine & reasonable question of a company rep. Trying to police responses doesn't get you karma here mate.

                    • @Ham Dragon: All good mate. You're obviously incapable of self reflection. Im not whining or looking for karma, either. Your question was vague and easily answered if you had been bothered. It would have also been easy to clarify. I didnt say it was unreasonable. Your responses have come across as un-necessarily aggressive, albeit mildly so. I'm not policing anything. Lol. More irony. I'm just calling it as i see it and responding to words on a page. There's not much point doing so with you, obviously. Good luck with the sheets. Peace out.

                      • @Fredorishi: Yeah it kind of came across like you were being critical or policing comments.

It's common practice for some members who have dealt with rep / associated posts over the years to ask basic questions simply to see how or if they reply. Think of it as a service to the whole OzB community because quite often the replies are unbelievable.

                        • @WatchNerd: @Fredorishi, thank you for your comments and for supporting us—we truly appreciate it.

As per @WatchNerd's comment, when we post on OzBargain, we fully understand the level of expectations within this community. However, to your point @WatchNerd, the OzBargain community consists of both consumers and businesses, including many small businesses like ours.

Your feedback is incredibly valuable as it not only helps us better navigate the OzBargain community but also contributes to the growth of small and emerging Australian businesses like ours.

@Ham Dragon, I genuinely did not understand your question and wanted to ensure I was answering it as clearly as possible to maintain transparency. My intention was never to be evasive or unclear.

                        • @WatchNerd: ehhhh. I guess I'm being hypocritical too. Giving someone a hard time for giving someone else a hard time. I've got no issue with people asking basic questions. Genuine questions. Like the one the rep responded with. ;)

"ask basic questions simply to see how or if they reply" - would seem to be the very definition of "policing". I just thought the dragon was coming across as a bit of a jerk, so said so. Then they doubled down, so on it went. Maybe that's policing too.

But I don't spend my days on here pretending like I'm doing a community service by asking vague questions. I just happened to be subscribed to the ad because I was actually thinking of buying some sheets. Like genuinely interested, rather than just here to police people. And I'm bored obviously. ;)

Any which way, hambone got his answer. Never did thank the rep for the response, even though it was "nice to know" Hmmmmm.

                          • @Fredorishi: I look forward to your potential order! Do let me know if you have any concerns or question, no matter how vague they are ;)

  • Too bad you don't have king single sheets. I would have definitely tried it out!

    • Thanks for checking us out! We hope to have king single in the near future
