Hi OzBargainers, please help with your suggestions on the below strollers. Planning to buy on Boxing Day.
Goal is to use this in City, Malls and light off road not as a travel stroller.
I have below options in mind with only 1 kid who will use the Pram Stoller, so not looking at a double stroller with an intent for 2 kids but happy to buy the Vista V3 if it ticks other boxes and the suggestions here are +ve.
- Uppababy Cruz V2 -
Pros
a) It ticks most boxes in terms of looks, Comfort and brand.
b) Big basket ! Love it
c) Cheaper than Vista and same as Nuna
Cons
a) Heavy - Similar to Nuna, both are heavy, especially for ladies to lift into the car.
b) Fold - Different from the common stroller folds, will have to take out the seat to fold and also not compact fold so takes more space is car
c) Narrow seat, atleast from looks, not sure if it fits a bigger baby.
c) Version is V2, so there may be a Cruz V3 but looking at Vista V3, it wont be a deal breaker for me
e) Snug seat for newborn required but cant use this to keep baby for longer than 2 hrs ! so might need a bassinet making it costlier.
g) Smaller wheels
- Nuna Mixx
Pros
a) Longer telescopic and more comfortable handle compared to Uppababy
b) Fold away axle which provides a compact fold and I love it !
c) Common way of folding with single peice ( Stroller attached) fold
d) Magnetic see through cover.
e) Lie flat sleeper design w/o need for extra add on for newborn ( Not sure if this is good or should I go for a deicated bassinet)
f) Brand value and look similar to Vista
g) Bigger wheels than Cruz
Cons
a) Calf support does not have a frame, its a fabric with dedicated footrest on the stroller frame not on the seat frame unlike Uppababy.
b) Smaller Basket, this seams to be a real negative !
c)Heavy to lift and put in Car but same as Uppababy
- Uppababy Vista V3
Pros -
a) Same as above but double the price of Cruz
b) Get a bassinet which is good for new born but price is double
c) More color options !
d) Bigger wheels than Cruz
Cons-
a) Same as V2 except you have a dedicated basinet for Vista
Please advise with your expereince with these or from you knowledge on strollers as an outsider.
We're very happy with the Maxi-Cosi Lila CP 2 Stroller and add-on capsule unit. Don't see the need to spend $2,000 on one.
