Days Not Coming Back Are They?
They Might…
No, They're Not.
I enjoyed this game but be ready for a bit of a grind to build up your bike/stats. Once you’re fully kitted out taking down hoards is very satisfying
I found the extra fuel mod made riding way more enjoyable, filling up with fuel constantly just felt like a chore. The default fuel efficiency seems very unrealistic anyway
I enjoyed the game so much i never really thought about the grind…can't wait for a console remaster or Days Gone 2 I will definitely replay this just for the sheer pleasure of the rumble of the bike engine throttling through hoards of Zombies in a beautiful open world. Hope there are a ton more bike customizations in the next release and you get a choice to play as Neegan or Daryl from The Walking Dead.
I enjoyed it too! Played on console and didn’t mind the grind. Reminded me of the Mad Max game slowly building the vehicle up and the bike felt realistic
Probably the best game I played this year. Amazing feeling of satisfaction when you finally start dealing with hordes.
Guess I'll come back and burn out these nests later.
Great game, pity it won't get a sequel!
Couple more $ for the GOG release (A$18.79) which is DRM Free: https://www.gog.com/en/game/days_gone
One of the best games I’ve played in a long time, hands down. It had been sitting in my Epic account for ages. When I first tried it, I found it "too hard" and gave up. Then, around two Christmases ago, I decided to give it another shot—and I couldn’t put it down until I’d finished it.
I loved pretty much everything about it. Some people say the story is cheesy or shallow, but honestly, I haven’t been this invested in a game’s story in ages. It really kept me going. (Not sure what that says about me, lol.)
Spoiler: At one point, I thought the story was kind of dumb—specifically her reaction when they finally meet again—but apart from that, I thought it was fantastic. I’d be thrilled if they made a (good) sequel, but honestly, I’d rather have no sequel at all than one that doesn’t live up to the first game.Enjoyed this one. Interesting that gamers regarded it highly but the media critics were not sold on it. Unfortunately that took a lump out of sales, so the prospects of a sequel were always uncertain.
Taking on the hordes is great fun, like something out of Serious Sam.
$2 minus a few cents more $18.73 straight from steam in case you want the option to return the game for some reason

This runs really well at 30 fps on Steam Deck.
OLED. I played through the entire game. HDR looks good on the Deck OLED.
