We had one of these at work, been nothing but problems. Sending it back to Insta360 took ages. The warranty claim process was onerous, they wanted videos etc to prove that the device is faulty before authorising a return postage, not to mention the warranty claim interface portal had size file limitation and we have to chop the videos to small files to be able to send to them.
Mind to share what's the issue with the device that requires warranty claim?
Intermittent start/booting problems and occassionally having issues reading from Samsung and Sandisk microsd.
I received mine a few weeks ago, not super impressed with the video quality to be honest.
Kinda regret the purchase.Would love to see a one inch sensor on the next model

Not a 360 camera but the DJI Osmo Action 4 is pretty good IMHO…
how's the low light performance like on the Action?
Only used it on a few motorbike rides during the day but done some rides through heavily densed areas with not much light & it was fine

Ive been using the insta360 4x mostly underwater. Pretty annoyed the dive case got a scratch on the lens 2nd time I used it and I was being very careful with it the whole time.

Probably not with code. I tried to price match something through the chat using an ebay code and they said they can't match anything with a code, but they can match the already cheaper price without the code lol…
Thinking about getting one for a snowboard trip to Japan… Do we think there'll be a better deal for boxing day?
Also you will need to start thinking about the accessories and if no prior video experience you need to make a few videos just to learn both how to shoot and post editing.

Bought one for an overseas trip. Low light isn't great and jitters/ issues with capturing image without blurring. Gopro is better in this situation. The cam is a bit of a novelty and using the 360 functionality too much during editing looks tacky imo. Choosing directional frames is pretty cool though and you don't necessarily have to worry where you're pointing it. All up though, wish I'd have saved my money.
Cool options for biking/ boarding etc. Yet to give it a go under water.
GoPro would be great if no overheating issue.
*I sometimes use it as action cam for sport, but I would like to simply record some long walking tours during travel
8K on Insta X4 also causes overheating btw. Its even mentioned on the manual.
Yeah depends though… With Insta360 its nice to be able to record everything without having to see the screen to ensure you're in the frame.
Also, with Gopro many times I missed a beautiful scenery on the bike just because it wasn't in the direction that i was facing. Sometimes I had to stop multiple times just to frame the view which is not always ideal when you're climbing in your bike.
With this, i can always capture everything.
Yeah, i dont know why people are whinging about the video quality. Its pretty obvious to me that you wont get as good vs a 4k or above Go Pro. They have a single wide angle lens to shoot with, while this has a 8k in total with 2 ultra wide lenses…
