  • Nice, ordered one.

    • I think the black one nicer imo.

Yes, it is. But will drink this mixed so okay for $41/litre.

Definitely is for a straight shot, but this is a good enough blend for cocktails/mixed. Do a decent old fashioned with it

        • What’s your recipe for a old fashion using Johnny walker?

  • Oh hell yeah

  • Very nice

Easily one of the worst Scotchs, fine for a cocktail you can disguise it in I guess though.

    • There will always be better.

Maybe you could make a suggestion of something near this price point that is worth a try?

      • "Harumph! I will on very rare occasions tolerate a single dram of Glenfiddich Grande Couronne if there is nothing better on offer and my whistle is a tad dry. There is nothing I can recommend to the uneducated and impoverished masses that is less than 20 times the price of this horrendous drop of battery acid they deign to label Scotch whiskey."

        — someone with a superior palate to you who is not, contrary to what seems obvious, trying to mask some very real inadequacies by putting on airs :-)

      • Like I said its easily one of the worst, so basically anything is better. Im no scotch/whisky connoisseur by all means but I would go a dimple or glenfiddich over the red label if you're after something cheap. Red label is only aged at least 3yrs so it has a pretty harsh taste. The 12yr+ johnny walkers aren't bad but I guess anything aged is going to be smoother anyway. Obviously you're not going to get anything in Aus for $40 for a litre unless its duty free so if you are planning to have this for cocktails you can mask it in that you are using it for a boozy boost then its fine. If youre looking to have it neat or even just with coke I wouldn't touch it unless it was free or you are just drinking it to get drunk.

All these crazy deals……why dont they just do cashback? I get to purchase booze on corporate card for clients and want the cash myself instead of savings to company.

I'm hanging out for BWS to do something this weekend but losing hope.

  • Preferred neat

    • Pour a small amount of whisky into a glass.
    • Add one drop of filtered water (approximately 0.05 mL).
    • Swirl the glass gently to combine the whisky and water.
    • Allow the whisky to breathe for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld
    • Nobody prefers Red neat

        I think he is joking.

  • There is a Glenlivet 12yr Scotch for $65
    Also Jack Daniels for $41

    • which one is better JD or JW?

      • Two different styles

        Whisky v Whiskey

I'd prefer higher end JW, or JD if it is JD v JW red for something a little different..

        Whisky drinker though..

  • So many alcohol deals.. did Amazon get it's liquor licence?

  • This is back in stock for me.
