Deluxe just seems to include cosmetics and a 'combat arena', rather than more quests/story, I doubt most people will be interested in it.

      • The dark arts arena was cool.

That's about it. The rest you could certainly take or leave. I enjoy HP so bought the game with pre order bonus/deluxe etc on release for PS5. Plat it, was good! ~60hours to plat is a decent time… I'm at 140hours on FF7 Rebirth and still a few challenges left to do… Yeesh

Really wanna play this…. but Denuvo…..

    • Can you tell me how much inconvenience this gives us? I wanna buy it but I'm not sure if this is a complete abomination like the ubisoft launcher

Being honest, less than most of us make it out to be; it depends how tinfoil hat you are.

It's partly the morals of it - Most of us gamers don't feel the need to be 'watched' while we game on something we legally paid for.
But it's also partly the level of access it demands.

Outside of the 'needing to be online every X days' or it blocks you from playing - It's a kernel level rootkit - think CroudStrike but for games.
So long as they stay in total control, and don't push anything malicious or wrong out, no major problems (some system slowdown).
But since it's operating at the lowest level (highest access) on your machine, it only takes 1 slip up to cryptolock, crash, backdoor, keylog, etc everyone with it.

        • Thanks so much for the insight!

As you can see I don't play much PC games. This sounds very dangerous and I'm not sure how dangerous it is for Linux which is what I'm running. I'm actually not sure how much access to the kernel Wine has.

Despite how tempting the price is, I'll just avoid it and play the PS5 version then.

          • @Leeroy Jenkins: Denuvo games typically won't run under Wine, but if it did, I'd have no concern at all.
            https://www.protondb.com/app/990080/
Turns out it runs with a Gold standard, TY, looks like it'll be purchased and played on my Linux machine also.

Do a bit of your own research, but AFAIK, Wine\Proton runs the windows apps in a sandbox\container, so the anticheat likely doesn't have anywhere near the threat to Linux as it does to Windows - It too, will be within the sandbox.

    • Me and my homies hate Denuvo. Torrent all Denuvo games and send a message.

  • That's only 3 galleons….bargain!

  • Nice, I love anything by JK Rowling

  • Will I like this game if Im not a big harry potter fan?

Seems to be highly rated by the OZB community.

    • +1

you can always try the game. personally got bored after 20 mins

    • From what I've gathered it's a decent open world game, but the main thing people love about it is exploring the Hogwarts Castle and surrounding areas which is fun since they're fans of the series.
