I was skeptical because Chinese plugs do work with Australian sockets, as they are identical in design, and you can plug Chinese appliances into Australian outlets. However, technically speaking, while 220V appliances may function in Australia, it’s better to use 240V appliances, which are designed for the local voltage standard. This ensures optimal performance, reduces the risk of overheating or damage, and improves long-term reliability.
