Absolute lame deal compared to booking direct. ESPECIALLY for Europe flights that cost over $2,500. $20 off just doesn't cut it. Way better prices can be had direct or from resellers.
Trip.com does not allow changes to the original payment card for hotel bookings without canceling the reservation. This policy is incredibly inconvenient, especially if you’ve closed your card and payment hasn't been processed yet.
Last time when they run similar deal I didn't get any amount off. When enquried about it the customer services said I should have asked them before making the purchase. I told them their price changes all the time and I was afraid I couldn't get the flight we wanted. It was a con. They never told me why we didn't get it. Just said you should get it if system automatically applied the discount. Before we booked the reminder was everywhere until the last payment page. I took screenshots of every steps but not good enough. They just repeatly told me the same, system should apply it if you were eligible.
Felt like it was a con. This time, we booked with someone else. Didn't want to bother with trip.com.
