Affordable Quality Soccer Ball

Looking for suggestions for decent quality soccer balls that aren't going to break the bank.

I see balls priced from $20 to $400.

Looking for a ball that would last 1 year for 10 year old kids to kick about on a grass field and sometimes at school on that spongy fall-protection surface you see in playgrounds.

Don't want to spend more than $100. Preferably in the $60 range.

Anyone with experience who can make a suggestion?

$5k from Kmart just don't let the dog get it.

Kids treat stuff badly, so don't spend big. They could get 12 of these for 1 x $60 one.

      $5k from Kmart

$5k might be too expensive for some people here…

Big W have some cheaper ones…

        Bloody typo.

  • decathlon is my first port of call now for any sporting goods,.

    • 🤣

      • when you have 3x primary aged kids that change their mind every second week, reasonable price for reasonable quality is expected,

if and when they commit and is good at something that's when investment in better quality equipment comes in,.

my concrete slab with rubberised paint and basketball hoop system, i didn't get from decathlon.

    • Just looked. They have a great selection and good prices.

Pele learnt how to play soccer using a sock filled with paper.

have you seen the price of socks these days… he must be rich

  • Kmart - mitre or Wilson

Thanks everyone for your combined wisdom.

I'll get one of those Wilson ones and a starting supply of the $5 ones from Kmart. They can use the Wilson one when playing on a proper field and the $5 ones when messing around everywhere else.

Puma factory outlet.. sometime the adidas outlet has some

    • +1 here, I bought 2 top spec OCEAUNZ Women's World Cup balls in the Adidas outlet at DFO for $47 each, Rebel Sport still selling the exact same ball for $239.99.
There's definitely value out there if you are willing to look at older stock.

  • try local op- shops

  • Youre over thinking it. For 10yos to muck around with thennleave outside, just get a cheapie from your local shop. The kmart jobbies wont last as long as some of the sports branded ones, nike etc, but theyll do.

  • its also not about making it 'last'. you are more likely to lose a few rather than it breaking down
