      2025 is the Vatican Jubilee, they are expecting 35 million EXTRA visitors over the 30 million that Rome already gets every year. It will be super crowded next year.

    Not much of a deal considering the extra luggage. Chinese airlines are way cheaper and with a double checked in luggage

      Hard to compare the 2, The Chinese airlines are known for there 12-24hr layover times or the "8hour" that gets delayed to 12hours.
      This kind of deal puts you in the approx. 24hour travel time category which is generally the Fastest.

      I thought Etihad was supposed to be full service - a fee for baggage makes them seem cheap.

      I’ve seen a few social media reviews of the Chinese airlines and they seem pretty great in terms of comfort, inclusions (checked baggage and seat selection), meals and service. I think people go in expecting bare bones and are pleasantly surprised by what they get.

      I flew with them 2 years ago, my luggage got broken on the 1st leg. They offered US$50 for a $400 bag. When i showed them the receipt, they totally refused to compensate, saying it was over 2 years old (was used once)..

    When booking your flight, choose the new aircraft. And hope for the best!

    The new Abu Dhabi airport is fantastic! The beach in the city is also quite pleasant. It’s worth staying a night there!

    As always, book directly with the airline. They also offer a 24-hour free refund policy.
