I prefer the Casio G-Shock GBD200 models, black & blue are on special at Amazon -

    Black $158.99. Blue $156.98.

Also my favourite Casio G-Shock Classic DW9052$75.00 delivered

I wear mine all the time. Here it is on my wrist.

Battery is known to last over 10 years depending how often you use the backlight.

I knew what the link was without clicking.
          I still clicked.
          I still laughed.
I wait for this again next month.

          And you're totally Rocking it.

          I'll see myself out…

    • Do you know what the notifications are like on this model? I have heard mixed reviews that you can only do an all or nothing style, ideally I just want notifications for calls, not messages or anything else.
I love the look of it.

      • I don't own one but I think @G-rig does.

        • I got the GBD200, possibly similar module will have to check (or look on shockbase).

I just put mine in AP mode to save battery, smart watches aren't casio's forte, and the move app sucks.

GBD-200 here too. The selling point for me is the MIPs display for my old eyes, and vibration alarms. Has replaced all my other G-Shocks and Baby-Gs.

@Limbot: Yeah mate they are pretty good, not perfect but a step in the right direction. You only buy it for the mips display and turn off all the other crap.

They just need to come out with a square mips with solar, a tad smaller and forget all the smart watch shit and they would sell like hot cakes.

      • I believe you can use Gadgetbridge with Casio watches, although from reading the website it does look a bit experimental. But that would allow you to only show notifications from whitelisted apps. https://gadgetbridge.org/gadgets/wearables/casio/

        • Wow, that looks great. Unfortunately I am on iOS for work reasons at the moment, so looks like it might not be right for me just yet.
I don't care about any other smart features except call notification as it allows me to be away from my phone a lot more.

          Thanks for your help

I own this watch. The smart features are a bonus but very archaic in comparison to smart watches.

I mainly use it as a dumb watch but this is what the move notification options are when enabled.

I mainly use for the vibrate alarm.

Great looking watch, that is very helpful as maybe I can setup it to be calls only.
          Also.. love the Focus ST

I'll go the other way - I prefer this one to the GBD200.

Its metal bezel gives it a more premium feel, and it is better for those with smaller wrists.

I don't bother with any of the smart features on the watch.

Yes, I'd recommend this one too unless you really want the tide times.

Can be had on Amazon under $150.
They look great, not too big and comfy strap. I'd

    I picked up a DWH5600. I also have the GBX100 and 5600E. I had a GBD200 briefly but returned it.

I think the GBX100 may be my favourite of the MIP display models.

    Quickly comparing to the GBX100:

    • GBX100 has no Solar
    • GBX100 has better buttons
    • GBX aesthetics are better with the metal bezel
    • GBX100 is not as tall

I probably still wear my 5600E the most as it is the watch I wear when swimming/sports watch.

Damn you Casio - you may get one more purchase out of me if you release a more basic MIP display model in the style of the square.
