Need Advice on Tyre Replacement for Nissan Tiida (185/65R15)

Hello OzBargaineers,I think it’s time to replace the tyres on my Nissan Tiida (185/65/15), as the passenger side wheels have been inflating slowly over a few weeks. Rather than spending money to fix them, I figured it’s better to get new tyres.

Unfortunately, I missed the Black Friday deal on Pirelli tyres (50% off). Currently, the cheapest option I’ve found is ordering through Tyroola, where Continental ContiComfortContact 64PR 185/65R15 88H costs $508 for all four.

Does anyone know if Mycar would price match Tyroola? I’d prefer getting it done through Mycar so I can benefit from their free tyre care plan (including free puncture repairs). Last time, I had to pay $70 to repair a puncture at Mycar, so the plan would be handy.

I’m looking for a reasonably priced option but want to avoid cheap, low-quality tyres. Are there likely to be any good sales around Boxing Day? Or do you know of any other deals I should check out?

Thanks in advance for your help!

been inflating slowly over a few weeks.

Definitely sound possessed. I'd get new tyres also.

    • Yes, very ghosty 👻

  • Continental CC6 is an old model, I managed to get a set of four back in 2022 and only just fitted them in August; unlikely you'll get a price match from Mycar. I see Mycar Avandra is sourced from Continental so that could be worth considering?

    • I had Continental CC6 in my N16 it is was a great tyre, got for around $80 each from Tyroola including fitting back in 2021 or so.

      • Total bargain! I paid $99 per R14 tyre, fitting extra.

        • yeah, it was 185/65R15 88H (exactly OPs tyre). I sold the car a while ago and it is good for the new owner.
just checked it was $364 for everything, making $91 each, my memory is bad

          • @bazingaa: For 460$ (without alignment) there is ecocontact 6 and premiumcontact 6, which one would you recommend! Thanks
From BobJayne I could pricebeat Kumho KH27 Ecowings for 460$ as well (including alignment). No idea about which one is best

  • Tyroola then get someone to match or beat their price, works for me .

    • Unfortunately, just found out that mycar does not have the same versions to price match

      • A bit like the Bunnings, masters thing .

$70 to repair a puncture at Mycar

maybe learn how to fix a puncture? A good repair kit only costs about $20 and would last you for years.
The Continental ContiComfortContact 64PR 185/65R15 88H costs $508 for all four seems quite reasonable.

    • Thanks for the suggestion. I will definitely buy a ture repair kit. I need to get a pump as well. Any recommendations?

The issue with tyroola is 508$ it is without the wheel alignment fee. PREMIUMCONTACT 6 Is there for 500$ as well, unfortunately none of the exact versions are in mycar to price match
