[QLD] Am I Getting Ripped off with These Solar Quotes?

Hello OzBargainers, I've received two quotes for solar installation from two Queensland companies recommended on Reddit.

Option 1: $10,449.50 - 13.3kW Solar system

This one includes:
1 × Sungrow SH10RS (AS4777-2 2020) · 9999W; and
28 × 475W Jinko Solar Tiger Neo - JKM475N-60HL4-V

Option 2: $10,250.00 - 13.02kW Solar system

This one includes:
1 × 10kW Fronius Primo GEN 24 Inverter; and
13.02kW - 28 Canadian TOPHiKu6 465W Panels.

Are these above quotes around the ballpark of what is reasonably priced for a 13kw system that's battery compatible?

These prices are after the gov rebate.

Thank you

Option 1 seems expensive for a Chinese inverter. Option 2 seems pretty good for a Fronius - they are significantly more expensive.

    • Thanks zoob!

I can get the Fronius 10kw gen24 for $3,150 (inc gst) - the panels are about $100 each, so we're looking at $6k for panels and inverter, allow another $1k for rack, cable and isolators etc.

      So doesn't seem crazy…

      • That price is after $4.7k gov rebate

        • The margins in solar are huge, just like any work done on a hot roof.

        • Ouch!

how much did you pay for them?

  • Fronius are more expensive. But if this isn't your forever home, just go with the Chinese ones. Did you check out Solar Quotes youtube channel?
