Made 2 purchases recently (3 shirts each), can confidently say the quality has dropped massively. Buyer beware, they are no longer the value they used to be.

Not horrible, but a big fall from grace.

Cheers. Thankful I double guessed myself on a $400+ order.

    • +1

Me too, and for ~$40 a shirt I’m not upset, but an older one I have here feels like a $200 shirt.

      Don’t think I’ll buy more.

      • I'm with you, done with these guys

    • +1

Yeah, I bought a few last year. Not the best I have to say and they have nothing on the old TM Lewin's. (IMO)

    • Thanks for the heads up too. All my work shirts had been ordered about 8 years ago and have had some extensive usage so was going to go and replace majority of them but might do a smaller order.

These have been brilliant though in terms of sizing - 6ft4/110kg and biggest issue I’ve always had is finding shirts that fit length ways but don’t make it look like you’re swimming in it (ie most shirts get wider as they go up in size but not longer) same thing with pants too.

Any folk had any experiences with this kind of sizing needed and can reccomend other brands too?

      • As another mid-six-footer, I'm also interested in this! Particularly tall-size t-shirts…

      • Rodd and Gunn tend to be decent on the length without billowing out but I’m not as tall as you so can’t speak for the sizes you’d be looking at.

Ive ended up ordering from TM Lewin in the uk in November. Was sad when they closed up in Aus. I signed up with borderfree.com and they give cashback for TM Lewin. Had to order over $370 AUD to get free shipping. Arrived within 2 weeks. Got my 5% cashback tracked and refunded to my card within the same day which is amazing. Pleased to say the shirts I ordered are as good quality as the used to be. Ended up paying roughly $40 to $50 on sale per shirt.

      • What shirt types? Iron/non? What particularly is standing out to you as quality?

        • +2

I bought mix of formal and casual. Non iron and iron, button and cufflink. Material has a good feel. Reasonably thick. Feels like my old TM Lewin. Not that cheap crappy material feeling. Can pick many combination of cut, collar size, sleeve length, so can get a really good fit.

          • @Sammyboy: Awesome. Thanks for the details

          • @Sammyboy: Thanks mate, I've been considering stumping up for the new TM Lewin but wasn't willing to spend the money unless I knew it was like the old days.

IMO TM Lewin is worth the extra cost if it's like it was before.

  • Own many of their shirts. Find they run on the generous side. Can anyone comment on their polos?

For example I'm normally an XL, but a Large fits better for CT

  • Hows the oxfords? I am just wondering if they are too thick for the sydney weather…

  • Very good shirts. Some of the shirts were not of the same size even though they said the same measurement.(m or large). No big deal though

  • Last deal I bought a few shirts. I somehow sized everything wrong but it was fine because the returns were so easy. I requested a return on their website and they emailed me a QR code to scan at Australia post, who printed the label and sent it off. Replacements shipped 3 days later.

  • FFS just about to place an order an price has gone back to normal

    • Likewise, 3 for $135 is now 4 for $299, I was just finalising checkout when it changed. TF I noticed!

      • +1

Their website is cooked. It happened to me last time there was a deal.

Try mucking around with using your phone, alternative browser, clearing cookies etc, going via Google instead of Ozbargain - and the deal should reappear.

Can't remember what I exactly did last time.

Thanks. I just realised it was when cashrewards gets activated, prices change

  • I did a search for TM Lewin on google and a link above came up for 3 for $135

Unfortunately they have stopped making my size combination, my arms seem to longer than normal for extra Slim guy. Super Slim has also been removed completely
I haven't found another shirt maker yet with 38 Collar and 89 sleeve length, the norm seems to 86 no matter the size.

    • Link?

    • No super slim for all their shirts? I remember that not all shirts come in size styles.

both the homepage and google search engine gives me the link, unsure for other tho

  • Bought 3 sets. The quality is pretty bad. All non iron came in wrinkled and the material feels cheap. I’m returning them all

Logged in to tell. Do not activate other discounts like cashrewards… the price goes up by 25%
The total was showing 199.95 for 4 shirts and delivery but when cashrewards is activated (in other window) when you place order you get charged 251.
Had to spend 1 hour on chat to cancel the order. Dodgy CT. Need to be careful. Hope I get refund soon.

Not really dodgy at all … The deals aren't meant to stack.

      • -1

CT is dodgy as they showed 199.95 at PayPal checkout but charged 251. Had I not seen the charges were there to stay. When I was chatting the person mentioned it was due to additional taxes. Upon asking them the calculation they said it may be because lion polo were not a part of the deal. I insisted to cancel the whole order. Then from different PC placed order with lion polo included 3 for 135. So need to be careful and ensure the order goes through correctly.

  • If CT quality has gone downhill, does anyone else have any other brand recommendations at a similar price point?

    • Also keen to know this especially any feedback around the non iron shirts. Thanks
