Nice find!
You've just got to love it.
Since woolies and coles have decided that their housebrand soy milk is 2 dollars, they are basically forcing me to switch to name brand milk that goes on regular sub-2-dollar sales
Very subjective but this (Soy Milky) tastes great and is really smooth. Better than any home brand I’ve sampled (macro being the worst)
I thought you were mistaken but no,when did they go up to $2? Wasn't it just $1 a few months ago then $1.10??
It happened in the last week or so. Home brand soy milks were $1.15 for ages until some months ago, then jumped to $1.60ish(?) for a few weeks, now $2 across the board.
My local Coles $1.10 to 1.15 to 1.40 and then $2. Incredible. We have tried them all over the years and preferred Coles Regular, even buying it when the brand names were a similar price.
@chrisharry53: This is the exact price pattern of the major housebrand soy milks. The 1.40 price barely lasted for a month before the jump to 2.00! Woolworths raises it first then Coles followed 2-5 days later every time. Some people say their IGA still has it at the old low price but mine has been matching Woolies and Coles.
I don't have an ALDI so I can't avail of their supposedly still sub-1.40 soy milk.
The supplier must've hiked it cos Community Co (IGA's homebrand) has gone up to $2 as well.
Same with woolworths.
I bought some Aldi soy milk @ $1.35 L
They're not fortified with calcium, unfortunately.
I believe that was for organic soy milk @$1.89, pretty sure the regular soy milk @$1.35 is calcium fortified?
Soybean futures have dropped nearly in half (from a high of $1730 in May 2022 to just $993 today) but suppliers have decided to jack up prices by 40%. What's going on
right!? it is absurd
Food for thought, Sanitarium So Good has ⅓ more calcium than Vitasoy and ~40% more than supermarket brands.
It was highlighted to me by a nutritionist as our daughter has a dairy allergy.
Something to consider if you're giving it to children. Maybe less of a concern if you're just having it in your coffee.
Can't believe the Coles and Woolies branded soy milk is now $2!!!
But you know what, I was at Woolies last night and their home brand chocolate is now $5 for 190gms! I could not believe it! They used to be like $2.50 and $3.00!!
I simply don't get the need for price hikes like these!
Don't know if this helps anyone, but when I clicked through subscribe and save there was a banner offering $5 promo credit to add another credit card (even though I already have multiple on the account) - less than $1/L after
Milky low sugar is also the same sale price
