  This would depend on the ticket and airline. Some airline has higher taxes/fees. for example. my cathay flights. 1.5k total. (750 flight + 750 fees)

just check the price before you use any cashback website.
I found few times the price is higher when you use the cashback link.
Without using cashback website i am able to get a much cheaper price from trip or booking.com.
