When Changing Bank Accounts, What Needs Updating?

Just changing bank accounts and I want to make sure everything is updated in the right places.

I've updated my banking info at

Centrelink
Medicare
Changed direct debits

Is there anything I am forgetting?

Do you find it funny that I have a disability? Im not exactly on the doll

          on the doll

          That was a movie.

I can't answer that without knowing what the disability is. Tourette's for example, whilst completely debilitating and horribly traumatic, could be funny for an observer.

Look thru a few months of bank statements, and think thru any annual subscriptions (or look back 12 months)

I'm starting to get sick and tired of common sense replies. Please refrain from such tripe in the future.

DSP for a legit disability or ADHD?

    • I donnt think you can get it for ADHD????
      I'm blind FYI.

      • DSP-blind is the best DSP to get since it isn't means tested.

Unless you need to pay account fees, keep the older account for 4-6 months and ensure there’s no activity. Also you can ask your current bank for a list of all direct debits (not creditors) and ask new bank to take it over.

    • I'd keep it for 12+ months. It's the ones that only come annually, or worse, the one-offs, that are easy to forget.
